It's been done before, but, what's the worst thing that you've done to your car?
 

because I just swapped out the lights in my automatic climate control
with those ones from Radio Shack...

FIRST -- the bulbs were the wrong size for the blue condoms...so, the color is off!
SECOND -- I dropped one of the light fixtures into Maxima Purgatory...
THIRD -- one of the lights just went out...one day after all my work...

what the hell am I gonna do about the lost light "fixture"...

...no more fan speed light I guess.

The worst thing I did was running that kid off the road after he tapped me in the rear. Thats why the damage to my car happened. I did it myself! But the kid payed for it.:D

I fried my ECU once. Busted my master cylinder once. I still have a funky battery drain somewhere.

even with 2 damn batteries in my car, if it sits for more than 4 days or so, its dead.. so retarded.

is it me, or is it REALLY hard to see out of the back of 5th gens??? my mom's 4th gen is easy to see out of the back of... course her car doesnt have as huge an a$$ as mine

I am pretty sure I have made bolts go were no bolt has ever gone before. I have actually torqued bolts so hard I was worried my ride might fall of the jack stands.

Moral of the story - 100% of the time make it fit is just not the way to go.:bawling:

The worst thing I did to my car was sign my name and buy it. The poor thing would have been better off in the hands of a 16 year old or an old lady.

i dropped a quarter into the speedometer crack (under the trip reset pin) and now my car is worth 25 cent more.

While racing on a race track, redlining 3rd gear near the end of the straightaway, had to quickly shift to 4th and then quickly brake (heel and toe), shift back to 3rd and take the turn at the end of the straightaway.

Did it many times (I tried not shifting to 4th but I was bouncing off the rev limiter and was losing time so it was faster to shift to 4th and back to 3rd. I just had to do it very fast.) One time though, I did it a little too fast and accidently shifted into 2nd.
100 mph in 2nd isn't good. Anyway, I was only in 2nd for half a second (quickly put the clutch in and went to third while braking for the turn). I was freaking and quite angry with myself.
Luckily, the car didn't blow anything right there and then.
However, 6 months later one of the piston blew right out of the engine block. 2 years of racing plus that one incident was probably the cause for the engine failure. Those VQ engines are strong but not invincible :)

running out of gas not once but twice! not in the same day though.

My 95, having sex in it for three months, right rear passenger spring was completely worn.
My 99, driving it with a strained neck, I backed up into a cement post.

i never complained about having sex in the max, i think i was enjoying it too much to worry bout the car, but the worst thing i EVER did to my car was let my civic friend convince me into putting those washer nozzle lights on a long time ago, and actually kept them on until i got a summons which finally made me realize why cops gave tickets for them...Violation: Section 348634875 - Making car UGLY!!
