Question about tires for 19' rims
For those of you running 19' rims, do you think it would be better to use 245/35/19 or 245/40/19? I have coilovers too so I will be able to adjust the height of the car if I get bigger tires. Just need opinions... Thanx

I have 35 on my 'winter' rims...and with the new ones I got 40s cause I would like just a little more tire on there. I think they both look good. I will take pics soon and post a comparison or something. :)

Go 40, more tire, less bending on the rims.

Nobody makes a 245 40 so it don't matter if you wan 40 you gotta go 255 40...As far as "better" that depends what you think better is...It will be softer and the ride more "mushy" to put it one way. And your handling will not be as "sharp" and as "responsive"

J, I know you hate TireRack, but they list the Michelin Sport, and 3 others, and DiscountTireDirect.com lists a Falken tire at that size as well.

Dixit :D I do hate it...But check michs site they don't list them, I'm not saying your wrong, but i'm incline to trust the company that makes them a little more ;) |
245/35/19 is what matches factory tire specs, so if you don't want your speedo to be off, then thats what I would get. I have them and have never bent a rim, and I've hit potholes on the highway that knocked my rearview mirror off the roof! Just put close to the maximum air pressure in them. My T1-S's go up to 44psi.
