Where to buy Koni's?
I'm in the market for buying the Koni shocks, can anyone please help me out in where I can get these, besides tirerack.com? Anyone selling it or know where I can get these for a better price?
Thanks... |

don't waste your time buying koni's.. the performance and the hassle of install is not worth it

sprint is right, they might be a little better than KYB AGX or they might not be, but the fact remains that the intall sucks and it is not worth the work when AGX's can be bought cheaper and the install is easy.

I currently have AGX's and the rears have blown due to the GC's I had. I have Progess Springs at the moment, I know you have to modify the Koni's but how difficult is it?

when you own a car that doesn't have AGXs, your story will change.. Konis are by far the best I've had on my 3rd gen..

I've tried Tokico HP's, AGX's, and finally I have Koni's...all matched with H&R springs. I'm by far the happiest with the Koni's. If you're interested in a set of shortened struts, I have an extra set of Koni's that I'll have sale in a month or so. As for the rears, I would suggest a set of Tokico Illuminas since they are external adjustable. The Koni's require you to disassemble the strut/spring assembly for adjustment. Tokico Illuminas can be bought through no limit motorsports for $75 shipped each rear shock.
If you want to go all out in performance and COMFORT, I'd suggest you get the motivational engineering rear mounts and the Koni front strut with the customed shortened strut body. |

I am not denying that Koni's are good, everyone that has them likes them, but the fronts are inserts only and the factory struts have to be cut, and on the rear they have to be removed to be adjusted. I was just saying that to me, they are not worth the extra effort and price over AGX's even if they are a little better. I haven't seen many reviews from people that have the Tokico Illuminas, but I know they are good on other cars.:)
