Well It's Official....

The Supercharger that propelled Mardigras' Maxima to the fastest 1/4 mile ET on the board has changed hands. Matt and myself spent the weekend swapping his setup onto my car. Everything went smooth took about 14 hours with a couple breaks in between to eat and what not. No real snags in the install. Time was extended since we had to pull off my UDP and stuff like that. But i had a great time, and would like to thank Matt again for being a great host and a great Maxima man. I am not used to working in a garage other than mine, but all was good Also thanks to Jason (Cutlr7) for his helping hand as well.

Here is the setup i am running...
Vortech V1 Blower
3.125 Pulley
Custom 3" Charge Pipe
Vortech Mondo BOV
JWT SC Program ECU
370cc Injectors
Walbro GSS342 Fuel Pump

We toyed with the idea of putting all the transmission stuff i have on also this weekend after the SC install. But by sunday afternoon we were both burned out, and decided to wait. I will put it all in one weekend here soon...the tranny setup i have is...
Infiniti I30 LSD Tranny
Exedy Clutch
Fidanza Flywheel
Raxles Axles

Here are some pics...

Right now the car HAULS pretty good. i can't wait to get it on the dyno and to the track here real soon.

If you like you can check the whole car out on my cardomain site...
www.cardomain.com/id/requin6

Thanks for reading.

Car has BOV and intercooler was never used by Matt, so I think with 13-14psi your still good to go

Do a swap or try swapping the 2K2+ or I35 4spd auto TCM.

DAVEB says they are interchangeable and there has been MANY MANY updated part numbers for the TCMs. Supposedly, the I35 and 2K2+ and any 2K-2K1s that come in for repair get the latest part number TCM. Supposedly, you can downshift a couple hundred RPM higher with the later TCM IIRC.

I say do a 5spd swap, since you have shop though and don't give me that crap about not being able to tie up a lift.

DO IT OVER THE HOLIDAYS!!!!

Dont worry the way I drive, my tranny will eventually blow up
Its not that I cant shift at a certain rpm, you can make it go to redline if you manually shift it. The thing is its laggy, its a stupid tranny, say your goin 30mph and you go WOT, you can hear the intake but the tranny is still deciding if it should go to 1st (DUH!) or go to second

I want to control when it shifts, I dont want it to downshift to 1st at times and it does. What a stupid tranny, Ill probably end up doing it sooner or later. I want BOOST!!!

Im gonna tie up the hoist to swap out an auto tranny anyway, whats a few more hrs?
