G-Tech Pro Competition Help

Does anyone know how to use this? I have played with this for two days straight. Followed the manual instruction to a T…..but the HP & TQ numbers are come back real low. I’m getting 133 HP, 177HP, 122HP the best number I got was 213. I don’t think these numbers are realistic. I have done it in 3rd gear to red line according to the manual.

I went thought the set up and enter the cars weight and set the RPM. But can’t seem to get a realistic number. Should I dyno in a different gear? Any ideas what the problem could be? Any tip that anyone knows of that makes this easier to use? I’ve used up a half tank of gas messing with this thing yesterday, its driving me nuts!!!

There is a new thing that came out, it's made by ESCORT or something, the company that makes the passport radar detectors. Not much help on your topic but someone might want to know...

Make sure you put your vehicles correct weight into the G-Tech.

Keep subtracting 100 lbs until you get the numbers you want :D

I can try that…..but won’t that give me false numbers? I don’t expect HP & TQ to be on point but I’m looking for a true base number to tune from.

I was just being a smartazz. If I were you, I'd probably try calling or e-mailing the company and seeing if they can help you out or if there is something wrong with your meter.

The G-tech Pro's are really accurate, especially in ¼ mile timing. It should be giving you the correct numbers :gotme:

What weight are you entering into the G-tech. Have you had your car weighed as it sits with whatever mods you have on it. Are you changing anything to get that wide range of HP readings or is it just all over the place with back to back runs with the same data entered?

I have not had the car weighed.I enter the gross vehicle weight subtract for all the non passage’s. But I didn’t enter the weight rims, and yea it’s just all over the place. Back to back runs, same data, same stretch of road.

I called up G-Tech, they told me to look at the full graph after the run. What ever the peak HP I see on the graph run with that. He said not to look at the final HP & TQ. Is that what you guys do? I thought that the final numbers would be the correct numbers.
