i just bought a set from ebay but i have a gxe so i don't think my car is prewired. and another question. how do they turn on. is there a special switch or is it with sync with headlights switch? thanks

If you have the Comfort and Convenience package (power drivers seat and keyless entry) your car probably is wired for fogs.

I don't think you need the C&C package to be wired for foglights.

My '97 GXE does not have the C&C package, and it was pre-wired for foglights.

The kit should come with a new turn signal/headlight stalk with the foglight control on it.

You should be all set.

For the love of god, search the forum for the answer. This has been discussed at least ten times in the last two months. (BTW, all manual Maxs and SEs and GLEs are prewired. Auto GXE Maxs with Cruise Control, a power seat or leather are prewired, all others are not. Please check www.maximadriver.com for the directions on installation. Is in the how to subsection.
