even tho i have no idea what that is or what it does (newb), it looks pretty sweet up there...so long as it doesnt get in the rear view...

the unit you see in the above pictures is A'PEXi V-AFC. It serves the following function:

1. monitor air/fuel ratio
2. monitor throttle position
3. ability to change air/fuel ratio
4. VTEC engagement point

on our maxima, we don't use V-AFC. we use S-AFC, which is basically the same thing without function 4 on the above list. (doh! we don't have vee-tek)

there are members that put it in that location. basically they hide it in the sunglasses holder area.

didn't know that. cuz 4th gen doesn't have sun glasses holder on the rear vew mirror. but still, part of the sunglasses holder will block the vision of the apexi screen.

if you open the sunglass holder cover, it reveals the s-afc, then you can close it afterwards. make it nice and discreet. :D

just to let yall know YOU CAN use the VAFC on a Maxima...just like you can use the VAFC on a non-vtec Honda. you just don't mess with the vtec engagement adajustments. just letting yall know this in case you see one for a good price, don't pass it up it will still work as far as air/fuel adjustment.

I think you can also use a VAFC to control the engagement of a MEVI instead of a summit or harlan switch.

I actually removed the sunglass holder and made a bracket and put the SAFC up there. Its angled for perfect view from the driver's seat. Had it in the sunglass holder, except it covers half the screen when its actually in the holder. Plus it blocked my view of the rearview mirror.
