Sorry for posting in your thread and confusing you Neal. It was for Erik.

The turbo is nice, looks like a small one that will boost quick, what are the specs?

Nealoc187 Jan 1, 2004 10:43 PM

Actually its the same turbo as the PFI kit has I believe. Its a T4/T04e .60 A/R (60 trim). The guy I bought it from is on the org but doesn't post all that often, his name is on_alert, ejj and some other guys know him. He said boost starts coming on about 2500 and full boost by about 3200.

hlh0501 Jan 1, 2004 10:51 PM

well I can publically congratulate you now! welcome to the club!

you got some serious fun times(lips) ahead! when will it run?

any q's you know how to get me

Taken2DaMax Jan 1, 2004 11:19 PM

I want one!

meccanoble Jan 2, 2004 12:51 AM

happy to see u went to the next level but the ultimate thread would have been with it already in your car showing time slips, dyno, and such.

But when it comes to turbo, its too hard to resist so early ;)

A-Ron Max Jan 2, 2004 01:40 AM

Congrats on the new setup, this should be very interesting. Are you doing anything to build up your engine to handle boost? If i remember correctly your engine has quite a few miles on it already.

CandiMan Jan 2, 2004 02:59 AM

Water cooled also. There's mixed feeling about divided housing if you're not running tuned exhaust to take full advantage of it but if the price was right who cares. At least you have the brakes to match that dryer :)

SXN Jan 2, 2004 03:05 AM

looking very nice, cant go wrong with a garrett

Kevlo911 Jan 2, 2004 06:07 AM

I got a ride in the car with that kit when he was only boosting 4psi IIRC.

Fun. :D

bk2kmax Jan 2, 2004 08:28 AM

Damn and I thought you were fast stock, what the hell now?

Good lookin though, I can't wait to see the vids and timeslips.

stephenlc Jan 2, 2004 10:26 AM

V-bands are expensive, hehe. $2500 more to go and you got yourself a kit.

billy_corgan Jan 2, 2004 10:41 AM

well i suppose the fastest NA maxima is going down as 13.4

iansw Jan 2, 2004 12:28 PM

I bought my full 3" Exhaust setup from on_alert.

Good guy.

Looks damned tempting....:)

Nealoc187 Jan 3, 2004 02:30 AM

Theres not really much more to show at this point, the other stuff is just a bunch of piping and oil lines and fittings and an air filter and boring stuff like that.

"end of an era" Hahahaha.....kinda full of ourselves, are we not?

AllGo Jan 3, 2004 09:31 AM

Neal, I almost bought that kit. Very well engineered and for $1500 you could not go wrong. You should only need a ssq bov, a good 60-70mm wastegate, and ~24x8x3" fmic and the various clamps and couplings to complete that bad setup. Oh and boost controller if you want, but a manual could work for now. Total cost of about $2500 for a sick setup, it was just bad timing for me. Did you end up getting the oil feed, return lines and upper tapped pan also? Good luck.

maxdrvr847 Jan 3, 2004 10:51 AM

4 months till tracks open, be done by then?

maxspeed96CT Jan 3, 2004 11:21 AM

damm Neal you got the fastest n/a maxima ive ever seen. keeps my ego up about not being able to afford boost but i realy want to start saving for a mevi . Good luck with the turbo

Jason R Jan 3, 2004 12:07 PM

car is going to be sick Neal.

95maxrider Jan 3, 2004 12:13 PM

jesus man....i cant wait until you go to the track. have you gotten a compression check yet? with 140k (i think) on your engine, i would start to worry about things.

MAX2000JP Jan 3, 2004 01:11 PM

If you need some help installing it, let me know. I am sure we can ghetto rig something together :grinno:
