New Product Out for 4th and 5th gen..

There are some who love $10 ebay strut bars, there are some who love Stillen $100+ polished strut bars, there are those who love chrome.. Here's something new..

Introducing Paradox Systems' new Heavy Duty Aluminum Strut bar for 4th and 5th gens (Yes, you A32/A33 I30's as well)

Plenty sturdy, plenty of surface area to "Bling" if you wanna chrome but looks great without the chrome. None of that bending that I read about if you pull on the middle section.

A32:

A33:

Note the small opening on top, for those with camber plates or any suspension that has extras on top, it will not fit. There are grooves along the bottom of the outer disks that fit onto the grooves on your car so it sits flush. ( I will put pics of the underside tonight )

Will also add engine bay pics as soon as I clean the snow off.

Whoah! That's the most OVERbuilt heaviest looking FSTB I've ever seen.

How much is it?

MaxMoJo 01-16-2004 10:31 AM

$120 shipped from www.paradox-systems.com

I think it looks awsome, looks like a FSTB for a semi.....

MaxMoJo 01-16-2004 11:02 AM

Its not for everyone but every person that has seen the one I have on my car in person has loved it and asked for one. Imagine the shine if you chromed it :)

Dave B 01-16-2004 11:20 AM

Looks really good, but I question it's design. To me, it looks like the two bolts that attach to strut caps will not offer much strength in resisting torsional twist.

Dave

Ninos_Maxima 01-16-2004 11:38 AM

Wow that thing is Massive, Do the 10 dollar ones off ebay really sux that much???

Jeff92se 01-16-2004 11:40 AM

How do you adjust it?

Sprint 01-16-2004 11:41 AM

adjust it how? I've never adjusted mine, do I need to?

maxspeed96CT 01-16-2004 12:00 PM

A sturt bar is a strut bar , and this is over done and just looks like a waste of cash to me. I bet handeling will be no diffrent then from my ebay bar.

Phatmax98 01-16-2004 12:20 PM

Wow..looks like the exact same one from procarparts...looks like paradox is selling about $20 cheaper though

DAVE Sz 01-16-2004 12:23 PM

ooh, chrome. Unless it's offered in different colors you won't sell too many considering you can get ones you methined on ebay for a 1/10th of the price. That thing also seems to weigh as much as 10 other FSTBs.

1MAX2NV 01-16-2004 12:25 PM

That would be huge shiny piece if someone would get one polished.

Defacto 01-16-2004 01:30 PM

personally, i love it...but weigh it before i decide to replace my CM one...i wanted a polished bar in the first place, and always wished they hadn't drilled all the holes in their bar...this seems to fix that little issue :D

stephenlc 01-16-2004 04:43 PM

Looks good, looks like procarparts.com bar, but a little bit smaller and cheaper.

erty67 01-16-2004 05:01 PM

I saw one like this on a 3rd gen Altima. It looked sweet. My ebay bar does what I ask of it though.

maximaracer28 01-16-2004 05:50 PM

I have seen these before...custommaxima.com used to sell these, or at least had a few for sale but they were like $200

Totally agree with you, I look at the Cattman FSTB I have, sorry but this one is no match, it look nice but like Dave B said, the 2 thinny bolt wont offer much strength, to each his own.

Nismo_K 01-16-2004 06:51 PM

good work on trying to bring out a new product though! :-)

thebigsadler 01-16-2004 07:33 PM

ahh maxima.org, the perfect place to bring products that aren't $10 and easily found on ebay.

I love the fact that there are so many people coming out with more products for the MAX. But you don't need an engineering degree to see that any kind of flex would weaken or break the cap head screws holding this thing together. It does look great.

It isn't a price issue with me. If the part looks well built then I will pay what you ask, but if the product looks like there is a flaw in the design. Not only will I not buy it but I will let others now. This is not only to help other members but to help the manufacturer make a better product. That is what I like about the org.

OT: I like the CF trunk, it looks great. As soon as I clear some of my projects( and stop traveling for work), then I would get one.

MaximaPolak 01-16-2004 08:16 PM

Where's the bench press for that thing?

Triple8Sol 01-16-2004 08:38 PM

I think this Paradox bar looks awesome! Props on the design and production of something new.

I also have questions similar to Dave B, about how well this bar functions though. I know the mounts and the bar is strong, but are the connecting bolts the weak link?

Ceasars Chariot 01-16-2004 08:40 PM

its cool to have all the different selections. that way when you hit the big meet we all wont have the same fstb. lol

Taken2DaMax 01-16-2004 08:51 PM

The Frankenstein Of Fstb

DCM Maxima 01-17-2004 04:43 PM

That looks bad *** but will those two little screws hold I get paid on thursday so well see if i can make up my mind by then.

BOZOnPJs 01-18-2004 09:29 AM

thanks MOJO for continuing the production of new products for our cars.. i will get this bar as a Valentine's present and show it off at the next NE meet. :D

araffio 01-18-2004 09:42 AM

I think I'll get one of these in the spring and have it dipped for some extra chrome effect under the hood.

Hi highly doubt that the maxima frame will creat enogh torsional twist to brake those bolts.

Nice design MaxMoJo! keep up the good work!

LithiuMax 01-19-2004 10:53 PM
