??? The 2k2s and up are drive-by-wire I believe and the others are rod shifted. I'm not sure if the drive by wire is for the shifter but I know tghe throttle is DBW.

I'm going to take a guess that you're referring to the shifter that shifts gears, right?
With our lovely front wheel drive setup, the shifter device is nowhere close to the transmission, hence it's hooked up by cables. The transmission isn't even near the shifter. The throw and feel is simulated. Unless you have a RWD or AWD (with RWD bias), you won't be rod shifted because the transmission is not under the shifter. |

Not only is your logic flawed, your facts are wrong. To answer the original question: All the 5-speed cars are rod shifted, all the 6-speed cars are cable shifted. |
