just can't get a break...

I was at a friend's house yesterday night. We were all just there to hang out and relax. We were watching a movie when we heard some loud smashing sound outside. We all heard it, but ignored it. Then smash...smash...smash again. We heard car alarms going off. We rushed out of the house just in time to see a truck speeding off. At first we weren't sure what was going on. As we walked into the street to see what was going on, my friend yelled at me to look at my car. The rear driver side window was broken. I parked on the curb outside of my friend's house. Apparently, I wasn't the only victim. We noticed the other cars that were parked on the curb were also damaged. Probably some punks driving by in the truck that decided that it was fun to smash up people's car windows. My friend's neighbors came out to find out their cars were damaged, like me, they were very mad. Luckily for my friend, he parked his S2000 on the grass near his front door. He normally park his car on the curb, but he moved it onto the grass so I can park. Normally, this neighborhood is pretty safe and never have any problems with things like this. I just got my car out of the bodyshop a few days ago to fix my front end that I damaged when I got into an accident a few weeks back. And now this! WTH?! Just can't catch a break! Even though I think the only thing that I need to replace is the rear driver side window, but it's still makes me mad. It was dark and we couldn't give more details other than it was a dark colored truck. It was one of the full size truck. Don't know how many people were in the truck or any other details. What's the heck wrong with people these days?!

bunch of drunk f@gas ! u should thank god that its just a broken window and no body damage.... thats something to think about !

Cumalot Jun 12, 2004 10:06 PM

Yeah, it's only a broken window, but my car has been to the bodyshop about three times already in the last year. Talk about bad luck. None were really too serious. However, as it is my only car, it really irritates the heck out of me.

sorry to hear that man:(

i guess it's that time of the year:(

NJ Devils Fan Jun 13, 2004 06:16 AM

Yea, this year has been a bad one. Mygrandmother died, my '96 maxima went on fire and was totalled, reagan died, your car got smacked up... Hope it doesn't cost you too much to fix.

This is very strange. I still do not understand what would drive an individual to distroy someone elses property, if they do not even know that person? Oh well as they say, karma is a b!tch.

djfrestyl Jun 13, 2004 07:08 AM

real sorry to hear that.
i was REALLY ****ed when rutgers construction cracked my windshield. i got mine replaced by one of those mobile services. it was a great fit, perfect install, and cheap! i called two separate companies that guaranteed not to be undersold, got quotes, and kept calling each of them back with the lower quote.
good luck with the repair..hopefully it works out in your favor like it did in mine

ohannon7 Jun 13, 2004 10:40 AM

maybe they were pi$$ed that cars were takin up too much of the road? who knows the reasoning behind it but it sucks!! sorry to hear....

rutgers eh...where at, where theyre constructing the overpasses? or on busch? you shouldve filed a complaint with the township or wahtever, not sure who has authority over that project, made them shell out the cash, or the construction company

The same thing happened around my hiuse a few weeks ago, one guy breaking windows 4 no reason. In the past there was an incident in which the kid who was doing it got caught and told the cops he was being paid by a local auto-glass place to do that.

Synki Jun 14, 2004 04:39 PM

That sucks. :( Sounds like the luck my old 4th gen had. 4 accidents in less then 1 year and all 4 times my car was parked. Samething with the wrx. Thank god the bimmer has had better luck (knock on wood!)

Conrad283 Jun 14, 2004 05:56 PM

Fcukin punks.

{-_-} Jun 14, 2004 05:57 PM

i hope the cops catch these punks and give them a :buttkick: and :nutkick:

i'll never understand how someone can go breaking other people's stuff like that for no reason at all

95stillenmax Jun 14, 2004 07:03 PM

Hey, stillen, since you said "I will come back and bite them in the @ss", I have a few people on my list that you can take care of for me after you're done munching on these punks!

Cumalot Jun 15, 2004 07:50 AM

Well, I got my window fixed. Still don't know who did it though. It wasn't the first time that I parked on the curb outside of my friend's house, I never had a problem before. Like I said, the neighborhood is usually a safe neighborhood. Hopefully, it won't happen again. Thanks guys for the concern.

SkoorbMax Jun 16, 2004 06:47 AM

My anger at that would have me shaking. That really sucks.
