!!Help! Installing Summit switch NOW and can't figure out which wire to tap ECU with

I'm in the process of finishing the Summit switch for the MEVI and don't know which wire to tap into for the RPM input. From two threads I've read on the org, the correct wire appears to be the white wire with green lines, but someone else who has done this said the green wire with white lines is the correct one. I'm leaning towards the white/green line, but I'm not positive. Any immediate help would be great. Thanks guys.

UPDATE: We can't find the white wire with green lines, but can see the green/white wire....growing more and more confused....

You can always pull your gauge cluster and hook up to the TAM screw for signal (located on the backside of it).

The easiest/quickest thing to do is used the TAM screw behind the gauge console. I tried to do th white and green wire crap a while ago and it's too much of a hassle. You can get to the TAM screw in a couple of minutes without cutting anything.

Just like everybody is saying go for the TAM screw.
Just pull out the gauge cluster and look behind the cluster. If i'm correct, the screw is even labeled "TAM."

Thanks for the replies guys. We checked the Haynes manual, and it made it look like getting to the TAM required removing the steering wheel, so we decided to give the wires a try. We went with the white wire with green stripes, and after tinkering with the Summit, we got it to work, or at least light up. Still not sure if the MEVI is opening though.....

Which solenoid are you using? If it's the GM one, make sure both tubes are connected to the side where te 2 nipples are. Leave the single side as a vent.

You dont have to remove the steering wheel to access the gauge cluster. Just lower the steering column with the tilt lever, remove the steering column cover halves, remove the instrument cluster bezel, then out comes the gauge cluster. If you are really lazy you can keep the steering column covers on but you have to bend/finess the instrument cluster bezel to come out. Either way it takes the same amount of time.

And it does say "TAM" right next to the screw on the back of the gauge cluster.
