!!Help! Installing Summit switch NOW and can't figure out which wire to tap ECU with
I'm in the process of finishing the Summit switch for the MEVI and don't know which wire to tap into for the RPM input. From two threads I've read on the org, the correct wire appears to be the white wire with green lines, but someone else who has done this said the green wire with white lines is the correct one. I'm leaning towards the white/green line, but I'm not positive. Any immediate help would be great. Thanks guys.

UPDATE: We can't find the white wire with green lines, but can see the green/white wire....growing more and more confused....

You can always pull your gauge cluster and hook up to the TAM screw for signal (located on the backside of it).

Help?

Just like everybody is saying go for the TAM screw.
Just pull out the gauge cluster and look behind the cluster. If i'm correct, the screw is even labeled "TAM." |
Thanks for the replies guys. We checked the Haynes manual, and it made it look like getting to the TAM required removing the steering wheel, so we decided to give the wires a try. We went with the white wire with green stripes, and after tinkering with the Summit, we got it to work, or at least light up. Still not sure if the MEVI is opening though.....

And it does say "TAM" right next to the screw on the back of the gauge cluster. |
