hmm, the pics were much higher res. before i uploaded them to photobucket dammit.

Oh, and the reason theres only pics of that one side is because the other side has a 16inch SE wheel due to a flat tire I got recently.

maxspeed96CT Jan 25, 2005 10:17 AM

looks nice, im waitin for my D2's , do you have any problems or complaints with your? also what spring rate are you riding on?

gtr_rider Jan 25, 2005 10:18 AM

dmontzsta Jan 25, 2005 10:49 AM

I like the stance, I wonder how 18's or 19's would look.

Ammi Jan 25, 2005 10:57 AM

Looks good~

geo1317 Jan 25, 2005 11:20 AM

that looks great :doublethu

|Bijan| Jan 25, 2005 11:25 AM

wisky - can you email me the last pic in hi-res to bijangxe@yahoo.com if available?

Puppetmaster Jan 25, 2005 11:35 AM

Great drop.... very even.... and IMO, not overly low... guess being in NJ ya can't get too low anyways...

looslip Jan 25, 2005 12:03 PM

Was this a recent shipment of the D2's? Any problems with noises, like the coilovers in the past have had?

Wisky97SE Jan 25, 2005 12:50 PM

Luke and Bijan, I sent the pics, let me know if you get em.

These are the first shipment of D2's, I got them a few months ago and I must say they are absolutley horrible. They make so much noise and make the car sound like a total POS. The ride quality isint that bad, but the noise makes it seem to be alot worse that it really is. I should have just kept the eibachs on there (as seen in my sig), the car felt so much more solid before I installed the D2's on there.

maxspeed96CT Jan 25, 2005 01:29 PM

have you tried taking them apart and greasing them up??

Viscous Jan 25, 2005 01:39 PM

looks hot, time to add that stillen kit!

looslip Jan 25, 2005 01:45 PM

Also if you're gonna be taking them apart, you may want to try new poly spring seats from Summit Racing.

I'm not sure if the seat would be the same for A32 and A33.

vsamoylov Jan 25, 2005 02:51 PM

car looks sick. by the way what percent tin you have? so there have been problems with the D2 coilovers?

MacAlert Jan 25, 2005 02:54 PM

Those look like 35% tints.

Nismotic Jan 25, 2005 02:54 PM

silvermax2k2 Jan 25, 2005 03:17 PM

Got it, nice pics.. :woot:

about the D2's, that stinks maybe they need some driving time to get the noise out of them:hs:

Yeah it does handle great, its too bad that theres so much snow around here in NJ to really drive the car.

It was my friend's Sony Cybershot P71 (not 100% certain on model number).

Thats what I was hoping in the beginning, but after 10,000 miles since install, Ive realized it will make noise until I take them apart and fix them. My car is a daily driver for my job which is why i've put so many miles on it since ive installed them. (courier).

MikeD95SE Jan 25, 2005 06:36 PM

That looks really nice. How do they feel?

VIP Maxima Jan 25, 2005 06:57 PM

cant wait till my D2's get here. what spring rate u got ??

gtr_rider Jan 25, 2005 07:17 PM

does anyone read previous posts?

Wisky97SE Jan 25, 2005 07:40 PM

The springrates are 7kg/in Front, 5kg/in Rear... I like the way the ride, I have the dampening on 2/3's (3/3=max stiffness) turn in the front and 3/4 in the back. I like the setup as far as daily drivability and the car handles well. (see my previous posts about the annoying noises they make)

haha . . . wudup Will, where ya been at recently?

MDeezy Jan 25, 2005 07:46 PM

looks amazing, very clean car, drop looks spectacular.

Iilac Jan 25, 2005 10:16 PM

Sorry to hear all of your troubles with the D2 coilovers, I hope with the latest GD that I am in, D2 will tightened it's quality control. Also I remember reading that UrbanImports shipped u a replacement strut and it is performing worse then the one u sent in? Did u get another replacement strut?

Wisky97SE Jan 25, 2005 10:42 PM

I never contacted UrbanImports about a replacement strut. . . perhaps I should, thing is, I might need 2 replacement struts . . or perhaps I just need to get some new rubber spring seats from summit racing as someone mentioned here.

Kazao Jan 25, 2005 11:58 PM
