Ugly license plate pics

Does anyone have a license plate that ruins the look of their max? i know there are some horrible looking plates out there, lets see some pics if it has a big affect on your max's look?

JClaw 03-26-2005 03:54 PM

What ruins it are liscence plates on front bumpers. That looks like sh*t. Thankfully here we don't have to have them.

Teufelhunden 03-26-2005 05:23 PM

nah, if it ruins the car, then people woudnt put em there. unless they want to ruin the look of their car...

Lumberg™ 03-26-2005 05:40 PM

PA plates are ugly as sin but they do have this all black D.A.R.E plate thats real hot. $50 though.

Depends on the state you register the car in. If it's a two plate state, you take a chance on getting a ticket for not displaying both plates. I'm glad I live in a one plate state. I wouldn't want to ruin the front of my car by drilling holes in the bumper.

Back ON topic, the current Ohio plates aren't too bad with the red, white & blue scheme.

i'd just hate to toss a big ole rainbow on the back of my max, maybe thats why i bought a saturn, haha sorry i hate those commercials, i don't really own a plastic car.

Big_E-Dog 03-26-2005 08:07 PM

In cali we gotta have 2 plates so we dont have a choice if we are missing one we gety a ticket and the court date to fix it if not it can spring to a woping 400 bones i found out the hard way.

$50? who's trying to rip you off? $35 buddy. Most states have charity and/or different styles. love PA for no front plate, although DARE wouldn't be as awful. PA standard plates are a huge improvement over the yellow a few years back.

I like Oregon's plates. I used to live in NY and I hated those new plates they switched to.

PearlWhtMaX2000 03-26-2005 11:35 PM

MA requires both plates. but i dont think they look too bad. especially the rear because it matches the tails and the spoiler break light

South dakota has the same color scheme. I agree, its a plain looking plate that blends in well.

4DRSpeed 03-27-2005 10:40 AM

Tennessee's aren't bad at all. Very white, very plain.

This is the GA "Give Wildlife A Chance" plate introduced late 2003. I love this plate for its patriotism. Here it is on my now totalled 1998 4Runner:

Brushedpewter 03-28-2005 08:22 PM

no offense but I would never post my license plate number online. It's not very hard to find out where you live and steal your car. I'd post somebody elses plate though, hehe

NycePants 03-28-2005 08:27 PM

i know you said max's, but i think the front plate really ruins the look of my car.

here is mine:

and for comparison, here is one without the front plate

Damn. I love LS1's. Insurance would rape me.

anyone can steal your car though man, anyone that drives by, ya know. I don't think its too risky

TheBigDu 03-28-2005 09:12 PM

I think the front would look a LOT better without the plate required by NJ:

FameMax 03-29-2005 08:25 AM

Took my front plate off, been off for about a year with no problem. I like the Mass plate, its simple and red font with white background is easy on the eyes

I'm still getting used to it, the colors are too bold. I liked the old "dirty" ones.

BigLou93SE 03-29-2005 01:05 PM

I removed my front liscense plate only to find 5 holes in my bumper. 2 for the plate being straight attached to the bumper, 1 because whoever it was started drilling offcenter, and 2 more in the plastic part because they decided to put a liscense plate holder on. I liked my car without the plate on, but for some reason, like it back on too. I don't know...
