Wow a lot of you folks are getting these Murano wheels. They look heavy but decent.

Jonny98max Mar 27, 2005 06:22 PM

yea i dint like the wheels that much after i put them on...but now i love them....it grows on u....also they look alot better in person....

4x4Max Mar 27, 2005 06:46 PM

I don't like the dropped look. And since a 235/40-18 is basically the same as a 215/55-16, there's no difference in the gqp. If wheel gap were bad, then Subarus would not look any good. And the STi looks pretty da** good to me. Nissan never has and never will make a car that can hang with it. :fro:

A Flood99 Mar 27, 2005 07:27 PM

^^^ i'm going to have to say a dropped STi/WRX looks much sexier than at the stock ride height

Harvs94max Mar 27, 2005 07:40 PM

i like them
real clean

SEmy2K2go Mar 27, 2005 07:43 PM

I think it looks pretty sharp.

roll4life Mar 27, 2005 07:44 PM

they look really hott..but the fact that your car is black makes up for anything i dont like about them

Xugg Mar 28, 2005 10:37 AM

Looks nice but i bet the extra weight slows her down a bit

ny96max Mar 28, 2005 11:10 AM

the Murano wheels on the 4th gen dont go at all...

Ant

sagamax Mar 28, 2005 11:19 AM

they dont look bad but they dont compliment the shape of the 4th gen. keep up the mods maybe drop it more and get a kit and it will look hotness

Zach95SE Mar 28, 2005 11:52 AM

I like em. But I'm partial because I have a set sitting in my garage waiting to be put on. What size tired did you use?

Conrad283 Mar 28, 2005 12:00 PM

They don't look too bad.

2kprlmax Mar 28, 2005 12:13 PM

nah it don't look good

Half_Lunatic Mar 28, 2005 01:41 PM

I think they look pretty good. Did you get a good deal on them?

filtor1 Mar 28, 2005 02:36 PM

I think they look good. I won't ever put rims on my car so I am not a very good judge.

Jeff92se Mar 28, 2005 02:42 PM

For the price that they are going for, you can't beat it. Looks pretty good to. Probably the cheapest way to get into 18" wheels. How much do those EVO 18" wheels weigh again? I bet it's not that far off from the Murano 18" wheels.

Ant96GLE Mar 28, 2005 02:53 PM

Digital Texan has them, he said he weighed them and they werent very heavy at all. I dont have numbers though. They dont exactly look right on the 4th gen.. but it looks good. Drop it! I actually like the Alti SE-R 18's, I was thinking of picking up a set.

why not chris i think rims are a must on all cars

CamryKilla Mar 28, 2005 05:31 PM

they don't look half-bad. I think they can look really good on a 3rd gen tho, someone has them on their 3rd gen....post pics!

Black92GXE Mar 28, 2005 05:57 PM

DAMN DUDE!! I was trying to get to 15 posts so I could ask everyone myself about those wheels! Saw a pair on ebay for $700 bucks after shipping with a set of takeoff wheels & tires from a Murano.

I was just going to ask if anyone had them on a 3rd gen!

I actually was doubting my decision while driving by some Murano's, but now I think I will go ahead with my decision!

I have a black 92 max... Anyone have pics of a 3rd gen with these wheels??

How much did you pay for those & where did you get them???
Are they wheel & tire take-offs from a Murano or did you have to buy other tires?

Thanks for the info..

Maximan190 Mar 28, 2005 06:13 PM

they look good except i think they "stand out" too much the way the car is, but i bet that they will look great with more of a drop and a stillen kit

NycePants Mar 28, 2005 07:53 PM

are those white or just unpolished aluminum?

Zach95SE Mar 28, 2005 08:47 PM

If I have a scale around my house I will weigh mine tomorrow after class. Just to get a real measurement on how heavy they are. I'll even take a pic for everyone so there are no doubts. I'm not good by just picking them up but they sure aren't lightweight.

They are actually a grey/silver painted looking wheel...

Jonny98max Mar 29, 2005 08:35 AM

i got very lucky to find these wheels....they were posted on EBAY and on the link there was a phone #....i called the # and realized that it was a Nissan Dealership that was selling these wheels on ebay.....they were asking for $250 shipped for all 4.....$250 is a good deal to begin with but i lowered him down to $225 shipped for all 4.....they are brand new...it came off a 05 Murano becuase the buyer wanted the Chrome wheels rather than just the polished aluminum.....

i got my new tires from tirerack.com......Kumho Ecsta ASX 235/40/18.....

i will try to get some better pics when it gets nice out....

Jonny98max Mar 29, 2005 08:37 AM

I figured thats where you got them from... I am currently trying to talk the other half into letting me do the same ;) I am currently looking at a pair for 260 shipped...

All together, what did that wheel/tire package cost ya???

SPiG Mar 30, 2005 02:19 PM

The STi is based as a rally car. Both the STi and a Maxima look a lot better with a drop on the street, but if you are going off road (4x4 Maximas especially) then you need a stiff suspension with a lot of travel. It doesn't really matter if an Impreza looks good with wheel gap, because our cars just have too much, period.

Nissan just hasn't brough any kind of compe***ion for the STi or EVO here. Subaru just brought the STi here a few years ago. The Bluebird (Altima here) SSS is comparible if it has ATTESSA (AWD) and the SR20DET. I also think the Skyline GT-R competes with it a little... But anyway :topic:

I am not sure about the murano rims thing, I would have to see them in person. If you like it then great though.

owais Mar 31, 2005 07:16 PM

Looks pretty good, but will look much better with a kit.
