How many SE's don't have a moonroof?
I saw an SE, probably 2000 or so with no moonroof. I figure nearly ever SE has a moonroof, and I think it was standard on the GLE, so the only car without would be a GXE. But a GXE could have the spoiler and wheels of an SE......what do you fellas think? how many SE's don't have the roof? :faint:
|
i have a 4th gen SE, and mine do not have a moonroof, especially since it has leather  !!! the moonroof is an option for gxe and se's i think and only standard on gle's.
|
what about the white gauges ?
according to edmunds, it is an option for power moonroof. http://www.edmunds.com/used/2000/nis...num3.1.nissan* |
white guages only comes on the se's and i think they are standard

i meant to say that if the car he saw had white gauges, it is most likely an SE unless the owner had swapped it in .. wihch is doubtful unless the car had other mods on it |
My car is a 95 SE MT with black leather but no other options. It does not have moonroof, power seats, any of the C&C package, ABS, or BOSE. It is pretty stripped. I was pretty pissed about it at first especially since I bought it from autotrader and it said moonroof and ABS but after a 10 hour drive I get there and nothing. They took off like $100 since I complained about the moonroof but oh well. I don't mind too much now. I think my car is one of the lightest maximas ever stock so that is always a good thing.

My car does have white gauges since it is an SE.
|
My SE has every option, including a moonroof. I thought that a moonroof in a GXE requires automatic trans... And white gauges are standard in an SE.

SE here, 02, no sunroof, less stuff to break down
|
:sprint: 2002 SE - no roof here :banghead:
|
1997 SE, cloth, NO Roof.

|
own 90 & 99 SE maxima's. BOTH have moonroofs.
Im loving the BS about the "less stuff to break" crap. :nopity: Moonroofs are awesome!! |
95 Max SE, no leather, manual climate control, no bose, no moonroof. Yea its basically a stripped down SE. I wish I had leather and a moonroof.

My '99 SE is about as stripped as they come. Cloth, no moonroof, no BOSE, manual climate control. I wish I had at least a moonroof but it's not that big of a deal to me.
|
I got it all...... :D
|
Fully loaded here...
97 SE, 5spd, Leather, Sunroof, Bose, Auto A/C, Dual Power & Heated Seats, ABS, Homelink, Wind Deflector, Trunk Net, Mudflaps, ... Father's is a little toned down... he didn't want a sunroof (he never uses it) but it was the only one available in his color and matching his other requirements at the time, so he took it with the sunroof... 97 SE, 5spd, Cloth, Sunroof, Non Bose, Manual A/C, Power Driver's Seat, Non ABS, Homelink, ... |
My 2000 SE had no moonroof, but my 2 4th gens have. :)

2002 SE, as bare as they come...
NO Moonroof NO Leather NO Auto Climate Control NO Bose (although this is a good thing) The lack of leather is not a big deal...I can get some nice two-tone for a little over $1000 with installation. But has anybody had a moonroof installed aftermarket? |
Interesting results. I know it sounds weird, but I think no moonroof is cool because it seems different!! That would be funny if people in Cali. read my opinion and start retrofitting moonroofed cars to have no roof, and it became the biggest craze since clear corners! :woot2:
|
I really wish I had one, but I bought it used, and the condition of the car was too good to pass up.
|
99 SE
No roof or leather or bose. |
Se
I have a moonroof, but no abs, no bose, no leather, no heated seats, no climate control, no heated seats. I'm glad I don't have bose, easier for me to upgrade my system. But my car has wheels that I've only seen on maybe 5 other local maximas. |
Mine is a 2003 SE and I don't have a sun nor moon roof. Nor did I want one. :gapteeth:
|
2k se, no moonroof, no leather, no bose, but lotsa mods...
|
Loaded 5-speed with moonroof. The first thing I do when I get in the car is to pull the slider back regardless of the weather and time of day. I always push it back in when I leave the car because it can leave marks on the headliner if it just stays open.
|
OK, who DOES have a moonroof?

for those of you who think GLE's come with moonroof stock, wrong, i have a 01 GLE and it has no moonroof, no bose, no climate control, has leather, no spoiler
|
My 93 SE didn't come with a OEM moonroof, so 6 yrs ago I had a aftermarket pwr moonroof install and I've been smiling ever since. The best bang for the buck mod I ever installed. Ever time I press that button and let the sun shine in, I'm all smiles. I was worried about installing a aftermarket roof, but after finding a quality installer I decided to go for it. My roof is a tab bit bigger than OEM and I've yet to have any problems, mechanical or electrical.
The only issue I have my after-market moonroof is that it has no mechanical crank that I can use to close the roof incase I loose electrical power. So after driving my Max with and without a moonroof, I'll take the moonroof all the way. MIKE |
No hole in my roof. I did not want to pay extra for something that I rarely use. The only options I bought for my 02 SE were floor mats and splash guards.
|
Damn, how do you guys do it w/o a moonroof? (at least those of you who had a choice)
I open it up every opportunity I get. Even if it's a little cold outside (which is quite often in Chicago), i'll open it up and turn on the heat. If i lived in FL or CA, i would prob never close it. :spin: |
