I ruined my 19's, right on time for the meet....=(

I was sooooo pissed off that I could've killed somebody. I ran over curb pretty badly that costed my 19' wheel. I really like this wheel and it's gotta happen couple week b4 the meet. Ima have to get another wheel actually two wheels cuz the passanger front is done but rear I guess I could ride it but it hav mad curb rashes......about 4~5' long.
That's when my wheels were on my Max.

Wow bad looking wheel. Nice looking girl :)

But you can get wheel fixed at a wheel repair place. Nice thing is the lip is polished. Cheaper than refinishing them in paint. Should be around $100-$150 to fix.

of course I'd rather get it fixed but as u can see above could that be repaired?? I hav another wheel with bad curb rash but this I'm not sure if it'll be the same after it is repaired.....but if u hav info about the wheel repair please lemme kno so I could call and giv it a shot......thanx in advance......

Jeff92se Jul 13, 2005 12:38 PM

They can repair some pretty hacked up wheels. I'd call maybe a wheel/tire place and ask them who they like to use. I wouldn't know who to refer you to in PA. :)

brettb Jul 13, 2005 12:57 PM

I think your best bet is to call a local tire and rim shop and inquire about the possibility of fixing the rim and much it will cost you. I have to agree with Jeff about the $100-$150 cost.

Hamy Jul 13, 2005 12:58 PM

Woah thats too bad man. I loved those wheels!!!

nupe500 Jul 13, 2005 12:58 PM

Jeff92se Jul 13, 2005 01:05 PM

Or maybe with Dan's car. Across the street, behind a truck, in the back alley, hidden under a cover, with Dan, in a disguise, in the back, hiding behind Nupe, in dark glasses... haha

Deckdout2 Jul 13, 2005 01:50 PM

I don't think a rubber malot is gonna fix this one.....sorry bout your loss Woo.

Iron Scimitar Jul 13, 2005 02:12 PM

that wheel looks horrid. get a new one. (the rash, not the wheel itself :) )

Thats a bad *** looking bumper you have, looks nice :)

1MAX2NV Jul 13, 2005 02:17 PM

Is it a two piece? Maybe Axis will sell you just the outer rim. That's better than buying new wheels. If you have a good insurance and no claims lately. You could try to make a claim

sk24iam Jul 13, 2005 02:29 PM

That looks painful

some will only cover OEM equipment unless you specifically get aftermarket product coverage. Like on my policy (I had to add it on), they will cover up to $10,000 of aftermarket equipment.

That way if I am a dumbarse and wreck my car they will cover my D2's, headers, cat and catback otherwise I am SOL.

Battle Max Jul 13, 2005 03:37 PM

sucks man im sorry for your misfortune...i have to ask though how did you manage to run over a curb?

:sprint: and how fast did you hit that curb, i know your tires are thin, but damn, that looks bad

also, woo, is that the fascia front end youve always had? it looks different for some reason, i cant put my finger on what it is.

1HOTMAX Jul 13, 2005 05:00 PM

you can fix it but you have to paint after. also it will weaken the wheel

1HOTMAX Jul 13, 2005 05:03 PM

play hard pay hard woo choo/ i feel you. i bent a rim b4 and it's cheaper to replace the rim. also it just feels better with a new one rather than a wheel that you know it's been abused.
it's like a girl/ you know you were the first to ride it! it's never been bent.....hahhahha

spencediggy Jul 13, 2005 05:35 PM

woo choo, sorry too see that.hey, at least it's not like my ol' tradegy

not to get off topic, but where u get that rear spoiler???

TsingTsaoNYC Jul 13, 2005 07:13 PM

Here is a place in PA http://www.wheelcollision.com/

I took a 18" Breyton that had very similar damage to yours to this place http://www.fixrim.com/ and they fixed it so, you couldn't tell the difference between the fixed rim and and a brand new one. Its quite a drive from you, but I highly recommend the place.

Nismotic Jul 13, 2005 07:22 PM

Jesus Christ Woo. I'm sorry to hear about your rim buddy.

pete88 Jul 13, 2005 07:22 PM

rim damaged/ replace it

Ugly mess, replace it. Dont bother with the repair. I just curbed my 18's aswell, repair will never look the same as new. You'll feel better with a new one, trust me! Pete

sunten1 Jul 13, 2005 07:54 PM

I would compare the price of that one rim to the repair cost...and ill most likely go with reparing it...

Woo Cho Jul 13, 2005 09:22 PM

thanx fo tha input guys. I think Ima jus buy another wheel, it's gonna cost me $390 just a wheel =( I'm getting Pioneer AVH P7500dvd and Pioneer AVIC80dvd navigation........

nupe500 Jul 14, 2005 05:29 AM

Woo,

There is a place on Broad Street in Philly...close to Broad and Pike that claims to repair wheels. U might wanna check them out.

I've always had this front bumper for a while.....I think I was like the first one to buy from Stillen when they first came out.
