just wondering for those that hates altezza taillights and plan to buy the 260+ hp maxima in a few or next year.. if the rumours are true that the max will get the new altima's tailight would you buy the next maxima??

I like the altezza lights. I think it a lot better than the ugly tailights for the 95/96 maxima. The 97/99 are a lot better than the 95/96 tailights. But I think they look great on the Lexus is300. Although some may think it is ricey, it is better than my 95 tailights.

I cant vote because I'm impartial. I think that if you take apart the Altezza's for Max's and paint the clear area, either black, body color (only dark colors though!), or a "carbon fiber look" type of finish then it may actually look good. Now dont flame me for this, but I'm waiting to see how it will look in person, then I'll investigate opening and painting the clear glass. I think if done right it could look pretty good. But in its current state with the all clear housing it just looks bad.

I'll wait for other, more bold Maxima members to try out Altezza's first. Then I'll decide. By the way, rumor has it those lights add 10-12 hp. Yeah I think it had something to do with additional exhaust flow or something. (j/k)

I might do it I don't know though I keep looking at just the lights and I am thinking NO WAY, but I will wait till I see them on a Max to determine whether or not I would by them.

I don't care for em, but if someone GAVE me a set, I might think about it. I don't care if someone else puts em on, it does make the car stand out, but I think it conflicts with the style of the car.

Around where I live, theres not a lot of hondas or any other cars with em on. I only know its RICEY thing to do b/c what people here say.

I say "live and let live". If anyone wants em for their car, then fine, put em on. Come on over to my house, I'll help ya do it.

I really can't call em rice.

To me, rice is the 4 foot wide spoiler I saw on a Civic last week. Or the "Accord Type-R" windshield banner I saw on an Accord EX last month. Rice means you're trying to build up an image of making your car look faster than it really is.

As such, I can't say Altezza's are rice..

But I can say Gawd-dayum they're ugly! :D

but hey, if you wanna slap em on your car, go for it. When I see you, I'll do the samething I do when I see Ford Excursions: Point and laugh :)

Ok, some of us arent seeing the point of this poll. I'm not trying to get people to bicker about the lights any more. I understand that it's each person's right to put whatever they want on their car. I agree totally.

That's why the question was simply whether or nor you would put them on yours. It doesnt matter why or why not, it doesnt matter what you think about people who would or wouldnt...that's for that other thread.
