No rear defroster..
Any ideas on where to start to find out why my rear window defroster does not work? Fuse is fine, and the switch lights up when pushed. 2000 Se

First test for voltage & verify the ground connection at the defroster.
If voltage is present, check the defroster lines on the window. If one is broken, you'll need to solder it back together so current can flow. If voltage is not present, check the defroster relay. |
Where are theses parts located?

Seriously though... I'd just turn it on and leave it for a while, then touch it and see if the lines feel warm to the touch. THEN I'd start checking the lines and voltage or the fuse before anything else. Incidentally, how were you able to create a bunch of threads with less than 15 posts? Just curious. |
As stated in original thread, I checked the fuses first and they are fine, the lines never warm up, and I don't own a service manual yet for this recent purchase, I even had to buy a owners manual off Ebay.
