Ever had hicks following you, when you're in reverse?

this is maxima related, because i was in my maxima....

i was waiting for my friends to get out of the woods on their atv's, i was on the side of the road in a gravel area. Lights were off, harly any cars were driving past because its a small country road, and this truck pulls to the opposite side of the road about 50 feet down from me. I didn't see at first, but it had 3 decently sized guys in it. I decide to get the f*ck out of there...and when i pull out and start driving they pull out in front of me blocking the whole road with the F-150. I stop, throw it in reverse, and drive down the entire road in reverse with them like a foot off of my front bumper flashing their high-beams at me. I know this road so i knew there would be a major intersection soon, and when i came to it, the light JUST turned green thankfully. I floor it in reverse to gain some quick distance on them. I twist the wheel really fast, and sorta half way spin the car around. I've never practiced this manouver before, so i didnt know how to spin it around completely, I throw it in first, and drop the clutch. Of course with them driving foreward from the start and having momentum already, they can accelerate much faster so they barely have time to pull out in front of me. I quickly stop and throw it in reverse, hammer it, and flip the car around to an angle where they wouldnt be able to block my way anymore. I throw it in first again and f*cking hammer it down the road, they tried keeping up for a little bit but couldnt, so im guessing they gave up. BTW, the road was empty pretty much so i could hammer it pretty safely. I got on the highway about a quarter mile down the road and headed home. This is my story of the night, probably gonna remember this for quite a while

dude glad you're ok...sounds like a movie man =/ people are insane!

4x4Max Sep 29, 2006 08:55 PM

I have an update, they must of searched around the nearby neighborhood because i drove to my friend's house(who lives close to the road, about a mile away) right after posting this, and we went to the road in his car so i could show them what happened. When we came back to his house, my car was all shot up with paintballs. Middle age hicks owning paintball guns? wtf? Maybe it was just a coinsidence? Gladly i got the paint off when it was still wet, but still, wtf is wrong with these people, i did not do a single thing to them!!!!

Now they might of gotten a really good look at my car at my friend's house, maybe even got the plates, so now im afraid that they're gonna do something else to it if they see it anywhere. Maybe those 3 good ol' boys will follow me somewhere, and 1 vs 3 are not good odds for me. What the hell should i do about it? Cops won't do jack about this, i dont even know exactly what the truck looked like or the guy's faces or anything.

And i couldnt get the plates, i was driving backwards on a curvy road at probably around 30mph with 20% tinted windows at night, i really couldnt look at the plate number....

This is a crazy night.

edit: i know they didnt get my plates on the chase because i dont have front plates, and they didnt have time to look at my back ones

I've seen that, in April i'll be getting a weapon for self protection. I have no intent of actually firing the weapon, its simply for scaring away. Before this, i was wondering if i actually needed a weapon, but now im positive.

Not a very good idea. If you pull it, you'd better have a good reason and you'd better be ready to kill whoever you pull it on.

I think i would rather do that than get hurt in someway by drunk rednecks with a weapon. Honestly, to me, my life>theirs.

Funny, but faked/improvised as indicated by the website in the video.

That 3 rednecks in an old beat up truck pulled close to me on an empty road at night, doesnt really happen often, i knew something was up and honestly, i didnt want any part of it. I do have a few self defence weapons in my car(wooden nightsticks for martial arts), but those won't do any good against drunk hicks with a shotgun. So off i went!

Be careful, statistically speaking, people who carry weapons for defense are more likely to be killed by their own weapon.

Well I guess he should carry it for fun then, jk. You could wait till they got out of the truck and then run them over.... lonely road, no front plates, drunk hicks....

Thats awsome, the exact reason im goin to get a concealed weapon and licence eventually. Same **** happened to a friend of mine by some frat boys until he stepped outa the car and cocked his glock, they didnt have anything to say after that.

:sprint:

I do realize that a weapon might be dangerous to me as well, but having it would probably increase my chances, rather than not having it.

mixshows Oct 5, 2006 11:01 AM

they take out a bat and you get a few lumps.
or
you take out a gun, they take out a gun, you die.

choose.

this is the reason i wont buy a gun for my crib.

Hmm, doesnt make much sense. If you have a gun out first, u shoot first. If someone breaks in your house and they have a gun your chances of of dieing are more likely than if you dont have a gun. Thats just me though, I dont own a gun but from the BS thats been pulled at my house a couple times before im leaning towards getting one.

FEW BUMPS from a bat?!?!? You really dont know what a bat can do. A relative of mine was almost killed by simple peices of wood when he was attacked on his motorcycle. This was in another country, but wood is pretty much the same wherever you go. Any weapon can be used to kill somebody, and a bat or knife are reeeeally not on the bottom of the list.

mixshows Oct 5, 2006 12:42 PM

u know what i mean, yea u can get killed, but mostly ur goin to get a few broken bones, point is, id rather take a blow from a bat than a bullet from a gun.

maximamaxy Oct 28, 2006 04:25 AM

Wow that is scary stuff. What i dont understand though is what did they want to acheive by following u, cos they had the chance to hit you off the road by the sounds of it, but followed u a few feet in front of ur car instead. Probably just a bunch of wankers trying to have fun at others expense.

Vil Nov 1, 2006 08:35 AM

Wow, crazy video... Probably just some drunken *******es trying to scare the hell outta you, people like that have nothing else to do.

4DRSpeed Nov 1, 2006 09:09 AM

I would say unbelieveable. But this crap happens often around here.

I've been in the middle of town and rednecks are shouting crap at me and my g/f. I shout back and just drive off. They're usually driving something that smokes down the entire road. So they can't keep up.

Rednecks do this crap, 1. they feel like really tough badasses in pairs or 3s. 2. what else is there to do in TN? 3. they're brain is on par with a possum.

I would get a gun for protection when I'm out on the parkway looking at the scenary and a guy cuts off his lights and pulls in 300ft behind me and then tried to sneak up on me. Only reason I saw him was b/c a car drove by. But if I had a gun I'd probably just shoot at him just cause in my mind "he wasn't worth a damn anyway, just some low life wanting to screw with people or eventually hurt others ". But that's my opinion.

Definetly gotta becareful out there in BFE, thats "hood lyfe" for rednecks.

Han Nov 1, 2006 09:16 AM

I'd let the police know about it...what if they've been pulling this crap on some other local people. This will at least add to the file and hopefully they can put together a somewhat accurate description.

Next step: Go sign up for a CWP and practice shoting your 9mm. Hit the shooting range a couple times a month. You want to be comfortable with your gun way before you find yourself in a scary situation.

JeremysBlkMax97 Nov 2, 2006 04:33 AM

Just remember, you never know what people have tucked away in their glovebox.:gapteeth: It might be something that makes you reconsider the tough-guy role.

maxmale Nov 2, 2006 05:56 AM

yea, if you pull out a weapon you better be prepared to use it. and i definatly would not pull out an unloaded weapon. if your in florida, didn't they pass the law, shoot first ask questions later. i have a mac 11 for home defense and a spot light for the car at nights. i think a bright light might have worked in your case, it could have at the very least made them stop and think what do you have behind the light. Or they could have just shot you. people like that are just asking ro get shot.

JeremysBlkMax97 Nov 2, 2006 07:33 AM

Yeah, down here, they passed a law that if you feel reasonably threatened for your life, if you pull a gun and the guy tries to run away, you can still shoot, but be careful, because legal interpretations can backfire and you can land in jail for a long time.

The streets are really dangerous down here, and I have my concealed permit, and carry a Glock 40. People will rob you here b/c you're white in a nice car. Wrong move. I know when it is appropriate to use it, but down here esp. if you pull it, you better not be afraid to use it, b/c somebody else will.
