if you want to know more about push button starters, check out www.miata.net in the 'garage' section. They have a few writeups about them. Most of them call it the 'big red button' or brb. It shows how to wire them; obviously the wire colors are different, but the idea is basically the same

I'll beat ya all to it

I already have started... was trying to decide on location for the button though. I have the wires all ready, and switch, and am going to put in a hidden switch in the line too to help keep the car from driving away.. remote starter is installed on my car too (I ran the wires for the push button start when I installed my remote starter (A PAIN))

I'll let you know when I mount the button and finish it all and Ill post pics. You can see it at MAXUS too

Umm.. You have to have the keys in the ignition for the push button starter to work. It'll start, it just won't drive until you put them in.

Would you mind posting some instructions with the pics? If not I understand, cause I'll still have one by Maxus, but it would make it easier. BTW, you can get the Honda Switch for $45 from Honda. And I ws under the asumption that you have to have the ignition on before the car will start. without it the fuel pump wont run, so the engine wouldn't get gas.

I don't know if you've looked or not, but the basic intructions are on miata.net in the garage section, then interior and it's in there
obviously wire colors are different, but it's not too hard to figure out which is which with a voltmeter or test light

Once I get it completed, I'll take a pic of the backsides so you can see the colors of the wires (I forget now, I did the wiring for it a bit ago) and a pic of where you splice into them.. its not too rough at all. I want that honda s2000 switch, its pretty nice looking. bummer to pay 45$ for a switch though!

yes, I know you'd have to have the keys in it, but with my stupid friends hehe I'd like to have a hidden switch so even if they tried to drive off my car as a joke they wouldnt be able to start it - you'd have to know them (your probably like what friends... )
