3rd Gen Axle Vs. 4th Gen Axle
The *** hat at Autozone was saying that the drivers side axle from a 94' maxima would work on a 95'. Is this true? Because they gave me the wrong axle already and I dont want to order one and go through the pain of it being the wrong one again.

If they go by production date then yes a 94 could be for a 4th gen. It all depends on the month since model year 95's were made in late 94. If they go by model year then no, the axles are different from 3rd to 4th gen.

Well see the problem is, is that we ordered an axle and they're are two different manual transmission types (in autozone computers) And I chose one thinking that it would be the right one...uhhh I was wrong. Except the other axle is 35 dollars more. They're the same exact axle just one was 35$ more. Can someone enlighten me and MaxSE?

likely his is non vlsd, as maximas (unless made for canada) werent, but if he replaced it, has a canadian, or an I30 trans, it will (for the I30 and canada) or may (for the replacement) be VLSD
Also, dont **** around with autozone axles. I replaced my passenger one 2 years ago, an year later my drivers side one blew, and within a week my passenget one blew again (the drivers was OEM from 1998, the other was autozone, a year old, 12k miles) i ordered raxles and cant even begin to describe how much better they are, worth every $$ trust me.

So let me get this straight...
You don't know what tranny you have, so you GUESSED it was the cheapest axle they had, just hoping that was it, and now you're wanting US to tell you if it will work or not?
Whatever happened to buying the right ****ing part the first time? :
