Well thanks to RussMaxManiac we have the file on a fast connection. I did some work on my dns server and got the URL http://movies.brianv.net/ to point to his server.

Anyways like I stated earlier this is my maxima vs. a civic SI.

The civic comes up on the side of me and guns it in third at 40MPH, he gains about one length on me, the maxims guns it in second, when the front of my car gets to about his rear fender he downshifts to second, but it's too late the Maxima just walks. At 100MPH the maxima has about 8 car lengths. Good video too.

I won't say who was driving the cars because I don't want to incriminate anyone. I just don't wanna become someone's b!tch in jail you know.

I swear it gets better everytime.

Great video! Your Max sounds sweet! The SI was racing for sure just listen to his engine. That looks like the typical pull a modded Max will put on a NA SI.

yes he was racing. It's my good friend, would he yell DAMNIT if he wasn't racing?

Also, he got one car length on me in third, but then I hit second and then he did shortly after. Yes I had a bit of a jump on him, but nothing to make for 8+ lengths.

At the end the cameraman, also my friend yells out something in Korean that basically means, "Us crazy kids"

Kinda reminds me of a race I had with this guy at work.. He used to talk so much crap about Nissans and how Maxima's were old guy cars. Always saying how VTEC would help him beat a mustang Cobra or Camaro SS. Only he has a civic EX with exhaust/intake/body kit.. I raced him twice and to make it even it was off the bottle. Well, it's been almost 2 months since we raced and he has never said anything bad about Nissans any more.

Hey, you gotta watch racing those squids with VTEC's...of course, my last one was against my friend's CL-S, with not quite the same results. Every day we go, right out on Hampton Blvd. There's another guy near our pier with a Civic Si with a body kit and FAKE intercooler kit. Found out it was fake after me and my friend both took him Thurs. and Fri. after work. Gotta love those long lights and 4 lanes on Hampton...

Did the audio get dubbed inside the Civic? I think I found a better audio recording of what the Hon-Duh driver heard...

Fake INTERCOOLER?!!! HA HA.. Well I usually don't cruise around NOB since Im here at Oceana.. Fortunately, I am leaving Hampton Roads come October.. We are moving to Everett, WA. So I will get to hang with my Pacific Northwest Maxima brothers. Hey, do you ever go to that farm fresh next to wal mart on military highway on fri/sat nights around midnight? There are usually 20+ cars there hanging out.. Imports, domestics, muscle cars, etc... I went there once but everyone looked at me like I was crazy.. I was the only 3rd gen there. I didn't feel welcome so I left after 5 minutes. Haven't been there in over 1 month so don't know if they still hang there. Oh well..

I got about the same reaction you did, but managed to score a couple of stragglers, one in a Integra "Special Edition", and the other in an older Caddy with some ugly *** rims on it. Not even close on either account. I was down near Oceana tonight and got into it with a modded Civic Si. Stayed almost even till about 75 where I started to pretty noticeably pull. Gotta love Va. Beach Blvd. too. We'll have to go out cruising one of these days. I get pretty bored around here too.

sounds about right. JeffK ran a 14.3 with the same mods. i remember him saying only a couple tenths came off with the ECU which is why he sold it.

Cheston, that's an estimate. I figure with cat and ECU if driven properly can nail at 14.5 at a decent track with decent weather.
