Throttle body plate

A buddy of mine has a 2001 nissan frontier. In the pursuit of better gas mileage he bought a throttle body spacer that is has the helix design to "spin" the air. He said that he could definitley tell a diffrence in low end torque and gas milage. Well just for the hell of it we tried it on my car and it it fit up perfectly. I can't really say I tell a difference in performance, but I'm going to wait and see if the gas mileage improves. My question is: Has anyone tried this before, or better yet ran with it on the dyno?

Hey guys im really sorry to dig up an old thread but as I was searching to see if anyone sells a throttlebody spacer for a 4th gen i found several threads about spacers to adapt an R50 Pathfinder TB but what im lookin for is a thottlebody spacer with a vortex helix style design like this one, i've got one on my 2005 Chevy Colorado and coupled with an K&N FIPK it sounds hella coo, like a fake turbo. I know it may seem gay but im just lookin around to see if anyone makes one?

This is the second thread i've read where someone installed one made for a 2001 Frontier (im assuming VG powered right?) and it fit ok with no issues? If so, i think i will be buying one soon. Does anyone know if it'll work and bolt up ok for certain?
