I'm not a fan, but I have a pearl max and I don't think adding black to a Texas car would be a good idea. If you like it, go for it.

Majestic Ken 12-08-2007 11:51 AM

its clean on light color cars but majestic could pull it off also in the daytime :D what do u mean a texas car, that really didnt make sense beacause the sun beams all over the world lol

98MaXeDouT 12-08-2007 12:01 PM

I been thinking about this for awhile. I'm pearl white and I'm gettin a CF hood/trunk...I was contemplating whether or not to get the roof painted black, just not sure how the lines would flow.

Majestic Ken 12-08-2007 02:55 PM

i seen a white 5th gen like that locally but it was painted along with a black painted factory spoiler, da heck. but from what i read on one of the G forums, its carbon fiber. sure doesnt look like it

You obviously never lived in Texas where you have many 100+ days in a row. Have you ever seen car windows blow out from the heat build up inside the car? It happens it Texas. Have you ever burned your legs on your seats? I'm not talking "ow that's hot" I'm talking honest to God third degree burns.

D-Bo 12-09-2007 12:24 AM

Yeah, and why wouldn't you paint it? Might as well do the whole thing at that point...

well for one this isnt the weather channel. secondly, i've lived in texas 20 years so i know what its like to have no less than a buck-o-five temps everyday. sorry buddy nice try :buttkick: So im sure the people out here that have overlays dont care about the heat. so what :gotme: you worried about the wrong thing.

AllBlackMax 12-09-2007 11:38 AM

Heat build up???

My Max is "allblack"; I guess it should've exploded by now.

lol!!!! windows blowing out?!?! wow!! must be hardcore where you live!!! kewlzorsZ!!!! thanks for that.

back to on topic. That overlay looks pretty good. I would have to see one on a maxima to decide if I'd want it on my car though. bluebat has some cool products.

DrunkieTheBear 12-09-2007 06:44 PM

I'm interested in it, it'll cover up the issues I am having with paint stress spots on the roof

Majestic Ken 12-10-2007 08:44 PM

i seen that white max with the painted roof again today, but i didnt have my camera:( just for example, unless somebody wants to chop chop

zero2sixtyZ 12-31-2007 02:48 PM

I think they are awesome. I'd go for a plain black one to cover the terrible condition my roof is in, but last time I checked, I don't think the 5th gen Maxima has noticeable lines the overlay would fit in (i.e. G35/350Z/6th Gen).

If we could make it work, I'm in.

I'd be interested if the price was right. Somebody contact Blue Batmobile and make this happen!

nissandrvr98 02-09-2009 09:31 AM

i'd love to have one of these for the 5.5 gen (w/sunroof of course).

these are also good when outrunning a police helicopter at nite :wall:
