6 years later, i'm back!
 

So I last had a Maxima in 2002, sold it for a Sentra SE-R, which I sold for a truck, which I sold last month. After looking at a lot of cars and debating, tonight I picked up a Pearl White 2002 6-speed Max. So far, I love it! I loved my old Max, a 1989 5 speed SE, but this new one is in a whole different league. The power is just incredible and it just rides so nice. My first mod will be stereo related, but then after that it will be motor mounts and then power power power :D

It feels great to be back!!

And yes, I need to update my sig.

awesome color love the car , i would go with 04 6 speed though 5.5 gens are slow on a top end

with proper breathing i can tell you for a fact they are not slow on the top end. Open up exhaust system to 2.5inch mandrel bent headers back

maybe , i wont argue , i always thought it was the gear ratios what made the diff , if it's a breathing problem then i get it , because my best best friend who i know for over 7 years and chill with him all the time has the 02 6 speed , stock for stock he couldnt take me , even when we switched the cars , and felt like it was choking after 3rd gear , after 3rd gear i was passing him BADLY!!! , but he should deff. get the headers etc then it'll be a diff kinda animal maybe , i don't know , im just saying what i've experienced with both vihicles

Considering the 04+ is considerably heavier, with only a little more stock power, I'm having a hard time believing this. I know the 5.5 gens trap higher stock and with similar mods. There is a diff in final drive ratio (3.9 5.5 compared to 4.1 on 6th gen), but I can't see it being enough to make up for 400+ lbs
