High Flo cats and Droning noise's question??

Is this true that if i add a high flo cat the droning from my cat back will go away?? I have the droning primarily at 2100-2500rpms, either at a cruise on the highway or just cruing around town. It can get annoying at times and id like to fix the problem once and for all!

Anyone with advice and or experiances with high flo cats please post!

thanks,
Anthony

My opinion on droning

If you are using any straight thru muffler regardless of model/manufacturer you will experience droning noise. Especially right around that rpm range you mentioned which is usually the cruising range for both city and hwy. If you dont want any droning do not use the straight thru muffler. Now keep in mind everyone has a different opinion on what is excessive noise. I've had first hand experience with two types of straight thru mufflers and within a week both mufflers were removed due to noise levels. I even installed a resonator which didn't help. I recently installed a RT cat (due to my old cat being totally busted, the internal of the cat was breaking apart) and with my 2K SE muffler the noise level perfect. A little beefier than stock but no droning or excessice noise what so ever. Before the cat was installed with the 2K SE muffler alone I had no droning, just ALOT of rattling from the cat. If you have any other exhaust mods (y-pipe, larger piping, etc.) all these will affect what your sound level might be
