You know you're driving a VQ when someone new rides in your passenger seat and says "WTF IS IN THIS THING?!"

[QUOTE=nalc;6623626]Ack! I hate on-ramps. There's always some d-bag ahead of me that goes on the on-ramp at like 20 miles an hour, then takes forever to get up to speed on the highway, and I always just want to take the ramp really fast and merge quick. QUOTE// I SECOND THIS I HATE SLOWIES LOL

you know your driving a VQ when you beat the crap out of the car and then you look at your mileage and you cannot believe it is still going strong.:D

Grand_hustle17 09-20-2008 04:08 PM

Grand_hustle17 09-20-2008 04:11 PM

you know your driving a VQ when everybody hates and say's nissans cant do anything but you then prove em wrong and they still dont beleive

modenaf1 09-20-2008 04:13 PM

You know you're driving a VQ when you floor it and bystanders go "OH MY GOD! THERE'S AN ARMY OF P!SSED OFF WOOKIES COMING FOR US!!!"

Well...I guess that only applies to the 4th gen USIM and a cold air intake......

jblinga 09-20-2008 04:53 PM

You know you're driving a VQ when it falls flat on its face at 4.5K (USIM only)

You know you're driving a VQ when it still runs strong @ 177K+ on stock engine/trans.

You know you're driving a VQ when AWD cars destroy you from a dig.

You know you're driving a VQ when the understeer is such a joke you want another car for your weekend warrior.

You know you're driving a VQ when it gets downgraded to your DD and it gets replaced by a real 4DSC....*cough...B5 S4 cough cough*

fcoral 05 09-20-2008 05:51 PM

you know you're driving a VQ when a cop pulls up to you with lights flashing to chat with you about your mods. cool:)

Yea, I'm not sure what's worse. The last time I went to get an oil filter at the dealer, the guy asked me if my Maxima was the 4cyl or 6cyl version!?!?

maximase86 09-20-2008 08:31 PM

You know you're driving a VQ when you can run boost for 50k and still have the original motor.

You know you're driving a VQ when you can provide more than one type of smoke at the sametime.

You know you're driving a VQ every time a VE owner says "but but I got VTC's!".

You know you're driving a VQ when you add more oil in your 100k mile motor than a VG owner in his 200k motor.

maxboy325 09-20-2008 08:58 PM

You know you're driving a VQ when your passenger tell you to stop speeding from the sound of the intake

You know you're driving a VQ when you take your nephews to football practice and here them in the backseat arguing if you have TURBO or NITRIOUS

You know you're driving a VQ when the intake screams louder than the subs in the trunk

WORD! One dude I used to be friends with said "All Nissans are underengineered garbage" but then I linked him the Ward's best engines list and he said nothing to that.

What's that? I never noticed it. I have 225k miles.

ThurzNite 09-20-2008 11:18 PM

You know you're driving a VE when
... your LSD kicks in
... you have an original 4DSC sticker
... you have independent suspension!
... the 5sp shift lever came out of a schoolbus
... magazines call your car a 'poor-man's-bmw'

lowincash 09-21-2008 06:56 AM

you know you're driving a VQ when you hear this rattling metail chain sound at certain rpms (i saw a murano driving by and had that same stupid annoying sound as me lol)

redmaxpa007 09-21-2008 08:58 AM

burning oil?

Dan0myte 09-21-2008 09:42 AM

You know you're driving a VQ when you're at 300,000kms and you can't tell the difference from when it was new.

ShippedOut 09-21-2008 11:44 AM

You know your driving a VQ when you show up @ a meet and nobody looks down on you because you have a base model and the next guy has a SE.

(Refering to Subaru meets)

traitor... well you know your driving a VQ when you pays THOUSANDS less than someone but yet they compare a 30K car to a 10K family sedan.... shame :rotz:

jblinga 09-21-2008 05:13 PM

^ I'm not a traitor. I still have my 4th gen and always will. But just face it...the maxima is a FWD grocery getter. Its not even in the same league as a twin turbo AWD audi. And I would assume your "comparison" is strictly in straight line acceleration since anything AWD will destroy our FWD understeering grocery getters on a real track. Now the fact that you're comparing a maxima to an S4 is a shame. You obviously don't know a damn thing about cars.
I've had my 4th gen for almost 9 years now. And I got my moneys worth out of it a long time ago.
And BTW I didn't pay 30K for my Audi. *cough....**** bag cough cough*

Grand_hustle17 09-21-2008 05:41 PM

o.kaay back to the topic... i made no comparisons here neither did i call names... another reason i know im driving a VQ :D

-A_VQ35- 09-21-2008 09:33 PM

You know your driving a VQ when you keep up with Trans Ams, G35s, Evos, etc. or anything that wants to race beyond 100mph :)

You know your driving a VQ when you spin 1st, chirp 2nd and in 3rd pull to the right

You know your driving a VQ when you can hit 140mph

You know your driving a VQ when that cocky BMW owner looks in suprise that he lost to a car that's a quarter of the price

You know your driving a VQ when you challenge 3.5s in your 3.0 :D

You know your driving a VQ when you pick on hondas, allowing their vtteeeecccc to kick in then proceed to blow by them

You know your driving a VQ when your exhaust turns heads as you pull up to the grocery store......

You know your driving a VQ when you swear you can keep up with that bike, even if it's a 600 or up? lol

ME TOO. I need to get a 'beater with a heater', and install some ram bars on it, and just knock all the retards out of the way. Lemme know what cities you need me to clean up and i'll make my rounds :chuckle:

You know you're driving a VQ when the engine feels smoother at redline than most cars' engines feel when they're OFF.

when you have to buy another maxima because you know in your heart that you have to have two, because by the time your 4th gen dies, you won't be able to find a decent 5th gen with under 200K.

when you can't imagine ever buying any other 4 door sedan.

when you contantly comb craig's list and ebay looking for a 98-01 maxima with less than 60K so you can have a spare for when your DD craps out.

elgordito941 09-22-2008 04:04 PM

you know you drive a VQ when you read every single "you know" line and agree with every single one

you know you drive a VQ when you enjoy having your hood open for no apparent reason.

What's with all the oil burning remarks? My VQ has almost 200K on it and doesn't burn a single drop...
