Trying to get these made for the Maxima.......

I am going back and forth with a gentleman named Greg who emailed me and told me they will think about making these headlights for the 4th Gen Max.

I'd like to have a different set of lights, and those look nice. Who knows maybe they'll actually make them.

Max99ES 11-12-2001 07:38 PM

I would definitely get one set if the price is reasonable.... they look really hot!!

deezo 11-13-2001 04:13 AM

Well, they cost $899 for the Chevy trucks. Hopefully they'll be a little less for the Max but they will have to do a little extra for the high-beam hookup so that might drive the price up a bit. I'll keep talking with them to see what it might cost.

Ludacris 11-13-2001 04:22 AM

Those look cool :D

Lime 11-13-2001 05:26 AM

whoah...those look cool...too expensive for me though.

Canuck 11-13-2001 07:59 AM

They look great, but I think that's a lttle too much $$$ for me.

cmcknite 11-13-2001 08:14 AM

When HID replacement kits first came out they where just as much. I'll pay that much to be street legal. Can't pass inspection without highbeams anyway. Plus they look sweet!!!

Keep up the good work deezo!!

deezo 11-13-2001 09:09 AM

Thanks all. I'd also pay the price to be able to have high beams along with HID's.

Albertt 11-13-2001 09:16 AM

Deezo: Any pictures of the beam pattern/output? >>

It's amazing to me how many of you guys/gals are ranting about wanting these, when you haven't even seen what they can do.

They aren't even available yet, calm down. We won't have to worry about beam pattern because they will be made from scratch. It's not like we're taking the one's made for the Chevy's and just trying to make them fit.

Weasel 11-13-2001 01:34 PM

If the beam pattern is right, I'll buy. It'll just take me a while to save for them. :)

blueghost75 11-13-2001 05:52 PM

i would try to buy some too, i would be saving for a while, though, but i would get them.

hope whoever you are trying to convince to make them sees this, lots of people are interested

deezo 11-13-2001 06:04 PM

I sent the thread to the guy through email so he can come in and see for himself.

So the people with the aftermarket HIDs now can't pass inspection then? That sucks.

It has nothing to do with scratch-built or not. A good beam pattern is matter of safety.

Screaminfast 11-14-2001 07:20 AM

I'm interested also...Just price is a little high....

It has everything to do with building them from scratch and obviously you have never built anything from scratch to know this. Comprehendo, if they are making them from scratch, they will test and therefore make sure the pattern works.

Your agrument means nothing because you don't have proof that the beam pattern won't be correct. You're trying to compare what people have done here on the org to what a pro-company is going to do and is already doing fore Chevy trucks (built from scratch).
People here are having problems with the pattern because the HID kits they're using wasn't even made for the Max from the start. Nuff said.

People, don't get into the debate about beam pattern. If you want to make an argument about something, argue about all of these aftermarket bulbs reduce your visibility and how PIAA's melt your harnesses.

Albertt 11-14-2001 08:37 AM

Ok, before this gets ugly, >>

I thought you meant that because you are making them from scratch, you won't have to worry about a correct beam pattern...I missunderstood...my bad. The only reason I bring this up is, that I've seen some of the HID kits that have been "designed for the D2R or D2S bulbs", and quite frankly, they all have horrible beam patterns.

If you can make these with a SAE certifiable beam pattern...OE quality and function, shoot, I'll be one of the first on line to buy it. Ok?

It'll take only 3.27 minutes to put my H4 bulbs back in for inspection. :spin:
