Twin Loop Muffler???
Hey guys im not sure were this post should go so i figured id place it here. i have a 4th gen and i recently found that my muffler was starting to rust through and i wanted to replace it. I was on ebay and i saw they have twin loop mufflers, they loop around and send the exhaust back through the muffler before it exits.
This is suppossed to keep it quiet while providing better performance. These look cool and in theory they should do what there advertised but im wondering if anyone actualy has one on there max, it doesnt matter which year, im just wondering if its quit and still provides the performance of an aftermarket muffler, if not im prob going with a magnaflow with ceramic fibers and wat not to keep it qiute. thanks guys. http://www.ebay.com/itm/STAINLESS-ST...sories&vxp=mtr |

naw for real though, check your muffler bearings, you might be able to replace them and be able to move air more freely when you do that
|
Hmmmm..
Not sure what your definition of "does it work" means. It's a muffler with a peculiar design. Mufflers really don't do much for power unless you have supporting mods (a lot). OEM 5.5 gen muffler can support up to 250fwhp on a Dynojet, so unless your goals exceed that, find a used one, or stick with your stock 4th gen unit. |

No NO NO OP you got it all wrong you need this gem of a exhaust mod adds like 75hp and dont forget the Muffler Bearings!!!
Attachment 55133 You've heard of the Y pipe.. the X pipe.. the H pipe.. nothing can touch the O pipe!!! It provides 100% back pressure feedback on ALL engines!! Torque increase and kuneutson valve float brings in much lower revs so you don't hurt your motor! Not CARB Legal. Please specify standard or polished finish. Product shown is single input O-Pipe with polished finish. |
Yeah it does work actually ... I have video I can post up here for you if you like
