Well ran into yet another issue.

While a friend was putting a speaker back in my door he touched the positive and negative wires together. All the lights went out and the car wouldnt start. Jumpstarted it and it had no more issues. Well now it seems that if I leave my key in the accesory position for too long (around 30 seconds to a minute) it wont start and it makes a buzz when the key is in the on position. Jumpstarting gets it going again and itll start up fine afterwards.. only when the key is in for too long is when it wont start. It happened again this morning and put a voltmeter to the terminals when it would not start and it said 12.5 v. Any ideas? I also just installed a new head unit but I made certain that all my connections are good and insulated properly.

If its helpful its a 2001 SE.

Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!

Thanks. Would you say itd be fuses in the engine bay or under the dash? Its -50 degrees (windchill) here so I dont feel like wasting too much time out there hahah

usually aux fuses like radio etc are under the dash on most vehicles.

Well no bad fuses so I ran my battery to autozone to have it tested... 13 CCA isnt gonna do much when its below zero -_- new battery and no issues. Thanks for the suggestion though
