Humming/road noise sound that doesn't increase with speed!

Hello Maxima forum!
I recently purchased a 2010 SV Sport package. There is a droning sound similar to road noise coming from the car that starts around 15-20mph and doesn't seem to change in volume or pitch with speed and does not change when breaking or turning. This is very confusing to me, but I've only owned a couple cars (not trucks/SUVs) and this is my first car with a CVT transmission. It's hard to tell where the sound is coming from but if I had to guess, it's louder in the back.
The tires are very new, and there's about 83k miles.

The usual sound your looking for is an loud humming noise or grinding sound that's loud and humming and viberating,if it's in the front. It depends on the noise and what part of the vehicle it's coming from. The noise would normally increase as the speed picks up. The problem can differ from vehicle to vehicle. The possible cause can be a failing wheel bearing. What you can do is have someone ride in the back to hear where and what exactly is going on and where it's coming from. The other option is you can listen for it yourself and have someone drive the car. The shop with a stehescope will help also. I have had the same exact problem with my quest took care of that with the same troubleshoot. It was my rear wheel bearing.

Yup, rear passenger side wheel bearing! Needed a scope to hear. I've had wheel bearings go bad before and this time it sounded a lot different.
Thanks for the reply!
