LED Headlight kits reviewed and tested
Hey everyone I noticed their are tons of threads about LED headlights,/fogs kits etc. But not alot about actual recommended kits and tested kits.
I personally just purchased Hikari Ultra low beam for my 2018 SL, thanks to the help of bulbfacts.com Check them out really good and legit reviews with road tests. NO im not affiliated with the site, it was extremely helpful in helping me choose. Figured I'd share to my fellow maxima family. |

I had LED low beams in my 2008 maxima. I had kensun bulbs were rated as one of best on the market. As far as looks, they looked amazing. 6000k,gave off the perfect sky blue hue, again looked amazing,BUT they were not very good at night. If you live in a urban area, then that’s fine, street lights and big cities have enough light where it doesn’t bother you. I live in a suburban area next to a big city. So I kinda need to be able to see at night. LED lights have not caught up to the output of a good HID system yet. Some of the new Acura’s have led headlights but if you look closely,it’s more then 1 led. Those headlights have about 5-6 LEDs in the headlight. This time around I converted to HID and it’s way better then the LEDs I had. So in my opinion (not that it matters) led is good for show and people that live in urban areas. If you need actual good output to see,go a different route |
yea cliffnotes, LED has not caught up to headlight level lumens yet.
