And I though looking at the pictures of my accident hurt!

TimW Feb 22, 2002 10:24 PM

really?

I didnt think we needed GAP on a maxima. seems like the only way not to lose your shirt getting out of a max is insurance. I havent heard of anyone getting shorted with insurance. Not to say it doesnt happen, I just havent heard anyone complaining that the ins. lowballed them.

regardless, glad he's ok.. that's a nasty accident.

TimW Feb 22, 2002 10:33 PM

oh...

I just saw the other post.. actually 22,900 would have been great! I got my 2k 7/99 and since I got a fully loaded GLE for $26.something, $23K would have been a dream come true :)

Re: oh...

it's weird how some people survive w/o a scratch when the car is badly mangled, but then some people die instantly in a 20 mph crash with a tree.

Answers to you questions

Nothing made it through the accident worth saving except three of the rims, the last one was sitting in the back seat. I first wanted to get the rims back, but was told that I would have to replace them with another set. He did a rim swap and did not have the originals.

The seatbelt is what saved his life....

The car was a fully loaded Green 00 SE and was less than a year old, so we hadn't paid much on it to bring it down to what insurace was offering. Therefore, GAP kicked in and took care of the almost $7000 that was lefted.

The replacement for the 00 is a 01 20th AE Super Black loaded. Bought two weeks after the accident.
