I had to drive out to work yesterday morning(I hate on call), and an old Ford Falcone rolled up on me at a red light, and reved his engine. I looked it over and it was a pretty nice little hot rod, with and older guy at the wheel. So I reved back and when the light turned green we took off. I think he thought he was going to leave me, but I stuck on his ***. Cops are known in that area, so I didn't want to push it too much , but we ended hitting 100 with no change. He almost lost it around a curve, (jacked up rear axle) but he finally backed off. At another stop light we x-changed info, and he had a modded 302,(didn't tell me all the details) and he had the full exhaust and stuff, but was really suprized He couldn't shake the Max. I was holding back a little, but don't know if i could pass him, but it was cool to race a real hot rod, even if it was just a F*ckin Ford!

Oh man is it suweeet!

I'm glad I got it. I should have installed the lighter flywheel, but I'm still happy. it's like night and day compared to the old stock clutch. The new pedal feel took a few days to get used to. Sometimes I still pop the clutch by mistake and scare pedestrians walking by.... :)

I was just wondering because...

EricGP just got a Centerforce Dual Friction and some people have told me that it slips unless it warms up. The guy from Centerforce also said that it doesn't last nearly as long and doesn't work as well with the aluminum flywheel, and they said that they've heard of people who have actually gotten worse times with the clutch and the flywheel. I dunno. I love my Clutchmaster/flywheel combo.

hhhmmm. Makes me think twice about the flywheel

But I have had no problems with slipping at all. It grabs and holds on for dear life. Know I don't have many mods, so that may be why, but so far so good. I have done a few speed shifts in it, and when I release the clutch, it's instant. After what the Centerforce guy told you, I don't guess I'll be shifting hard anymore! Thanks for the info.
