If this has been brought up before, I appologize, but I was wondering who owns the fastest Max on Maxima.org? Name the top 10 or so, and what do they run? (1/4 mi.)

I would have to say (in no order) Don in Texas, SteveChicagoSC, Turbomax95, Phil96SE, and i30krab (If he drags it) is probably the fastest.

How about GhettoMax?? He ran a 12.8 once.....

yea actually the x5 has been doing just fine lately :D maxima is off plotting something evil :laugh: maybe an automagic conversion since those are the real fast guys :D

13.99@101.40mph in a 3rd genMax SE 5spd. Nitto Drag Radials. Basically (for the most part) stripped inside. NOS. ECU. UR Pulley. etc, etc, etc, THEN BLOWN ENGINE (and a cracked engine block).<--(later on) I now have a new(er) engine w/out the NOS and can't beat that time since. (Hmm..I wonder why?)

Anyways, I have the timeslip to prove it. I'll have to scan it into my computer sometime (very) soon.

and yes...i know a <14> sec run is VERY EXTREMELY good for a 3rd gen. But I just won't ever do it again. I could have had a 4th or 5th gen max with as much $$$ as I have put into that car. Oh well. Long live the 3rd gen!

I wonder if you don't count nitrous, and/or a supercharger, I wonder who would be the fastest? Would have to have a lot of bolt ons. Then again, without nitrous and/or supercharger, how "fast" can a Maxima really be?

How fast your maxima can be is directly porportional to the amount of money you are willing to spend. I can name 4-5 things that no one has done yet that could be done to a maxima engine(na) to make it faster. Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?

And he is NA. No nitrous or boost.

For sure that would be Don in Corpus! He owns the fastest MAX and that would be a automatic at that! Jason Farrell isn't here or I would say he owned the fastest 5spd since he ran 12.8!

Don has ran a 13.2 I believe for his fastest....

Just add a whole bunch of stickers....that's good for lots of horsepower. Who needs a SC, when you can get stickers at a fraction of the price.

Supposedly Shing does, but we'll have to duke it out sometime to see who really has the slowest Max.:arrow:
