I'm kinda Jealous of you 3rd gen owners....

My sister just purchased a 93 GXE loaded and her GXE has a courtesy light in all 4 doors along with ash trays(somehow I thought that was cool). Then a look at the center console and there is a button that says "A/T" on it. What's it used for?

I test drove it and has some kick for 160HP. I'll take some pics when I get a chance.

JoJo428m May 25, 2002 12:10 PM

Does it include Power/Comfort, it allows it to shift/clutch harder If I am not mistaken.......I might be knowing I don't drive yet:D

Edit: Try an SE

yea, you will see some differences between the two.
I had a 93 before....

Yea, no step lights in the back doors on the 4th gen, but the 3rd gens have them...

The A/T button is near the shifter right? You can put the transmission into 3 modes.. which changes the shifting points of the tranny.... the COMFORT mode will make it shift at 2k rpms.... the AUTO mode is at 2.5k ... the POWER mode will make it shift at 3k rpm.

Also, note the tilting headrests the 3rd genners have :naughty: Hey deezo, try to see if the 3rd gen headrests fit the 4th gen.. could be a nice little mod for us, tilting headrests :D

I'll give it a try the next time I see her. I'll tell her about the tranny options she has also. I wish we had the tranny options though. :(

I think Cattman offers the 3 trans mode. But it is like $600.00

James92SE May 25, 2002 12:38 PM

Yes but as cool as the A/T switch is (All 3rd gen Auto's have them BTW), it's still an autotragic.

5spd swap time for me soon.:D

Not nice at all :(

This is what gets people killed, when they act on impulses of destruction.

Honestly, sick of other people "judging" other cars as "rice."
Acts of Violence on another person's car, is just not right.
I've been a victim of a crime like this, and I returned the favor to him "personally."

Alot worse than that, anyone who has the gall to break into a car, intentionally cut up all the leather seats, destroy my headunit, rip my glovebox down, open my hood, destroy my MAF, slash my tires, and destroy my intake, and brags to someone who is a former member of Maxima.org, that he messed up some "homo's car" deserves the "personal" attention I gave him at a bar.

The I30's have tilting headrest that will fit in the max. My I30 use to have them and I really miss them, hmm..

Yes they do fit, I took the nice tilting headrests from my 91' and put them into my 98'. They fit perfectly, but color is a little bit off.

I don't know why the windows are bashed in but this car has been sitting in front of my crib for like two weeks. Could've been something personal.

Still I find it disturbing, since I had almost the same thing happen to me.
