I'm a believer!
Ok well as y'all know, the 2k2 Maxima has sparked my attention. I looked at a 2k1 Maxima, but it was fairly beaten on, and I wasn't incredibly impressed with it. I finally had a chance to go out and drive a 2k2. All I can is, holy c@#p! That machine is increidble. I'm a believer in the VQ's potential now. :D I think it's time to go sell my brain to science to afford it.
I drove a 2k2 Maxima SE with the Bose system, Leather (Supah Pimp), auto, 17 inch wheels, spoiler (I like the small, not in-your-face wing), and of course a sunroof (Very nice here in Texas). If there was a thums-up smilie on here, i'd use it right now. As Gidget said once, "I think i'm in love." No wonder the VQ made engine of the year so many times. It deserves it. Now tommorow it's off to the other dealership to do some haggling. Then go back to the dealer I want to buy from and tell them of the deal I got at the other place, and that they better match it, or else. :D |

I was told by the guy I bought my 93 SE form NOT to go drive a 2k2. because I would sell my soul on the spot for it.

I can't go back to the dealer anymore, last time I was there for an oil change, there was a 2002 MAxima 6spd with the dark Charcoal color for $26k and I also saw a beautiful black Altima 3.5SE 5spd for $23k.
I wanted those cars so badly, my gf had to drag me home. I was ready to trade my car and my gf's car in for the Max. She can catch the bus to work :D |

Yes indeedy! The 6sp is a must! I just got one about a month ago (see sig below) and got everything but leather(w/mem seats) and Nav for $26K. Over the memorial day weekend I was working 3 dealers off each other. I really wanted Meridian w/o leather and it seemed hard to find (very hard) so the dealer that I original test drove it from won because they already had the car w/o the leather AND LSD and they were willing to deal.
If possible, get one with LSD IMO. I love the car. Love the six speed. Love the price. Love the looks. No buyers remorse here. Enjoy the ride |
