Can I retrofit 5 - 100mm rims to Maxima's bolt pattern?

I foolishly bought some 17 inch MOMO Sports from an ebay seller that will not fit my car. Is it possible to put these 5 lug 100mm bolt pattern wheels on my max? I'm pretty sure 89+ maximas have the same 5 - 114.5mm bolt pattern.

You can buy plates that change your lug pattern, but they are very risky (unsafe), expensive, and make your wheel stick out another 1"+.

Or you can actually get the holes re-drilled. Most true metal shops will do this.

Using a little geometry...if the 100mm and 114.5mm numbers are circumferences, then I just need to drill the holes out by 2.31mm. I dont think that this would hurt the strength of the rim too much. Anyone know any details on this???

Resell the wheels. Do NOT enlarge the holes. They will probably never center on the rim and will always vibrate on the road. You could probably take get the rotors and hubs redrilled for a 5x100mm bolt pattern, but that's gonna be bucks in labor and machining. Cheaper to resale and buy.

I did not talk about actually enlarging the holes. I am talking about drilling a new set of holes. Just like how many wheels have two sets of bolt patterns. If it has space, they will be able to do it.

Well, since we are talking about such a small increase in radius, I would essentially be making the existing holes bigger (longer). But, if the holes are drilled perfectly, I don't see how this is a problem. The result would essentially something close to an oval. The bolts that come from the rotor would only contact the rim on the outside half of the drilled holes. The key is that there is no play after the wheel is put on the car.

You CANNOT do this on wheels. There is too much risk involved in making the holes bigger. Plus the Bolts would not seat correctly. You essentially would have to get the holes elongated. And to get that done will cost more than to get a whole new set of holes drilled in between the others.

Im telling you just get new holes drilled. Much cheaper and safer.

and you got a hard time selling your rims (after you get bored with them or whatever reasons) if you decided to drill them.

Adding 5 more holes to a radius that already has 5 holes is not a good idea. Especially on a wheel that wasn't engineered to have 10 holes. Kinda like x-drilling a blank rotor vs rotors that are already engineered to have holes in them.
