soundmike Aug 18, 2003 06:21 AM

TTT. :)

thnikkamax Aug 19, 2003 02:23 AM

did the 4th gen AGX price go up?

soundmike Aug 19, 2003 05:23 AM

How much should they be? LMK if it's too high, i'll try to bargain it down.

But yep, as far as i know KYB increased their prices across the board just recently.

nizmo Aug 19, 2003 12:15 PM

Just ordered rite now :) will be here in 3-4 days!!

soundmike Aug 19, 2003 12:19 PM

Cool. Thanks :)

Threadkilla Aug 19, 2003 01:31 PM

Ordered Saturday... will be here Thursday. :woot:

Now I just have to figure out how, or who is going, to put them on. :(

Bump for the good customer service.

Yeah i double checked that with a friend of mine that distributes them.

Ebay has them for 380 + 30 shipping so you have the better deal.

Thanks Mike

jus wonderin
which struts are better with h&r springs for my 4th gen
gr2? or agx?

soundmike Aug 20, 2003 08:35 AM

If you want adjustability, that is - being able to adjust your suspension for track/road/crusing/etc., then get the AGX.

If you'd rather go for something that's still performance oriented yet still comfortable, get the GR-2's.

I may be off a number or two, but the GR-2's are equivalent to a 2/4 setting on the AGX.

danimsta Aug 20, 2003 08:41 AM

ok, i wanted something pretty comfortable ride

im tryin to go stock as possible but still witha drop

thanks
i might get the gr2s, just not now, gotta save up! lol

how long is this deal gonna last?

soundmike Aug 20, 2003 08:47 AM

Until supplies last. Not sure if Jessica can still provide the same prices after that.

She's been working with us pretty well though, so there's a good chance she just might.

soundmike Aug 21, 2003 06:37 PM

Update, only a handful is left of each set per NCM. Don't let this chance pass you by! :)

chigga Aug 22, 2003 03:53 PM

i think i might get in on this. how are the gr2's? are they more performance or more comfort. i had the maxspeeds(luv em) and agx adjustables on my 4th gen and would like a similar setup. no point in having all these horses and torque and i can't drive like a bat outta hell ya know..

soundmike Aug 22, 2003 03:56 PM

The GR-2's are somewhere in between comfort and performance... from what i remember the GR-2's are like 2/4 settings on the AGX. :)

GR-2's for 2003 maxima?

Is that for 2000-01 or 2002-03 models? KYB has different part numbers for those two versions of 5th gens.

I don't believe that GR-2's for 00-01 model will fit on 02-03 model. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I don't see why KYB would have different part numbers if they were universal.

If they'll fit on 2003 Maxima, I'll buy, cuz that's a good price :)

2000-2003 is the same vehicle except for a few notable exceptions like the engine.

It's the notable exceptions i'm concerned about (like the struts).

For example, front brake rotors are bigger/different on 02-03 Maxima than on the 00-01 Maxima. Not all parts that fit on a 00-01 5th gen will bolt onto a 02-03 Maxima.

As I mentioned previously, KYB has different part numbers for their GR-2's, depending on year of 5th gen Maxima.

Can you provide the part numbers for the 5th gen GR-2's being sold in this GD?

Thanks

soundmike Aug 24, 2003 09:44 AM

May i know where you found the part numbers for the 2k2/3? As far as my wholesale catalog goes there is none yet.

In any case, a lot of 2k2/3 owners have bought and installed the 2k/2k1 GR-2's without a problem.

When i mentioned the notable exceptions, struts and shocks are not one of them - just looking at the mounts and all there is to it - they're basically the same.

Anyway, part numbers are 334265, 334266 and 341271.

I got part numbers from local speed shop guy, and he gave me different numbers for those years, fronts were different numbers anyway (but that's not to say that he knew what he was talking about):gotme:

But if others here with 02-03 maximas have installed the 00-01 KYB's without problem, then I'll go that route too. The price is too good to pass up :)

soundmike Aug 24, 2003 02:22 PM

It's odd he gave you different part numbers, even KYB's online catalog doesn't have it listed yet. Perhaps he gave you 5th gen part numbers?

In any case, yep - a lot of 2k2/3'ers have them. In fact i'm getting one myself.

If the GR-2's fit I30/35's then they'll fit ours :)
