NISformance Group Buy JWT High Performance Camshafts for 2009-2014 Maxima Engines
NISformance Group Buy -- JWT High Performance Camshafts for 2009-2014 Maxima and 2007-2012 Altima 3.5
NISformance has been been working closely with JWT for years on these cams. We have tested the prototype set in our shop car with great success. Here we are with an initial release in a special group buy! NISformance is the exclusive dealer of these cams -- you won't find them anywhere else. These are the ONLY cams available for these engines (FWD HR) (2009-2014 Maxima and 2007-2012 Altima 3.5) JWT C2H cams are designed exclusively for the VQ35DE (2009-2014 Maxima and 2007-2012 Altima 3.5) engines. A 262.5 degree duration with an aggressive lift near 12mm requires this profile to be used with JWT valve spring set. These cams are designed for use in engines with stock pistons. By designing in more lift with a moderate duration, it makes this profile excellent for these HR high flowing head engines. ECU tuning is required after these cams are installed! Pricing: $1500 regularly, special group buy price: $1350 Includes: 4 camshafts Custom trigger wheels 4 cam gear bolts JWT valve spring set We gained 30 HP and 22 FT-LBS TQ at 7000 RPM Group buy open from June 7-June 30 Minimum 10 orders Estimated Shipping date MID to LATE JULY 2017 To take full advantage of these cams, the rev limiter needs to be extended much higher than stock. In order to do this, you need upgraded rod bolts and an upgraded oil pump (and a non-leaking oil gallery gasket). We have these available also at special group buy pricing! I like the top end gains but can some of that low end grunt can be recovered via tuning or is that characteristic of the cams?
Also wondering whether variable exhaust valve timing tuning is necessary to take full advantage of these cams? Or is the exhaust cam designed to operate optimally in the neutral position? The test car has a Haltech so I am inclined to believe EVT timing was utilized. I intend to flash my stock ECU and perhaps pursue EVT tuning down the road. |

Performance cams move the power to higher rpm. EVT is a benefit if its able to be adjusted forsure. It really depends on how much it cost to add that function sometimes its worth it sometimes it not.
