Urethane 5spd Shifter Bushings
NEW UPDATE, please read below
Due to the untimely manner in which cores are returned (plus the many cores that haven't been returned), the current wait list is capped off as of today 5/7/07. If you wish to have this modification, you will have to source a core from a junkyard or dealership and have it sent to me for modification. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Urethane shifter bushing upgrades for all 1995-2001 5spd maximas. Features 30% more material than the flimsy stock shifter bushing along with firmer urethane. Installation is quite simple and reviews/pics can be found here:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=403576
This is to improve the overall feel of your shifting by providing more precise and accurate shifter movement through the gears.
$42 dollars shipped in the U.S., paypal fees included. Canadian customers, please add $4 USD extra ($62 USD shipped). No core charge because I will be working on your core[/b]
payment sent to larriomotors@yahoo.com
EDIT: stock vs. Larrio Motors version
Core return instructions: When you receive the box, please open it carefully by cutting the brown tape across the top edge. This will allow you to open the box easily, and you'll find the new shifter bushing assembly inside, with the return address label. Simply put your old shifter bushing in, and peel off the liner to expose adhesive, and press firmly across the flap to close.

Have you guys found a problem removing the upper heat sheild to expose the shifter assembaly ?? I think mine are pretty reusted out and probably wont even budge. I dont have to worry about rmoving the cat because I do have a test pipe.

Do you know how long you are gonna have these for sale? How long are you looking at for ppl to send their cores back? I am looking at purchasing a new exhaust but I dont know exactly when since I am looking for the best price and I wouldnt install till I installed my exhaust.

Ideally members would return their bushings within 3-5 days after receiving the part. Unfortunately there are some members that don't bother sending it back at all (which keeps the price high because we need to buy new bushings as cores)

That was the fastest shipping ever. Ordered it on Monday, and it was at my door yesterday. 3 days. Great item. I put it in today, but can't drive it until I put my car on the ground and go get an alignment.
I definitely recommend this product, and the seller. I will try to get to the PO tommorrow with the old one, but it might be monday. Thanks Larrio

I have this bushing installed ... definately noticeable and did make my shifting stiffer! I like it - a bit less play in the shifter too.

I installed the bushing and shipped back my old one yesterday. I definitely notice an improvement with my short shifter. Before, I would have a hard time getting into 3rd gear. Now, I get into every gear on the first try. Thanks.

I'm seriously afraid its going to happen again this time. How are these to be replaced? From the top near the shifter? I'm almost tempted not to go forward in fear that I'll just end up with a nice bushing with no place to mount it to. Any suggestions?
