Coolant level drops within days. . . .
Hi folks,
I just replaced my radiator after I noticed a leak from the crack. I thought this was a simple procedure, but . .guess not. Now, I start to notice that the resovoir drops in coolant level within a few days. I check frequently after a good drive to see if there are any leaks within the hoses, clamps, or any area. Still no luck and the coolant level continues to drop. Does anyone have any suggestions? I read another post stating it might be the water pump? Is there any way to check the functionality of the water pump? thanks folks!

I do smell coolant after driving and it does smell while I drive. But, after a drive I never see any visible leaks under the car or around the engine bay. If a water pump doesn't work any more is it likely to cause a leak or evaporation of the coolant?

i seriously doubt its a head gasket. Those problems are almost nonexistent on a VQ. My coolant level dropped drastically one day, but i was overheating cuz the fans had failed. It also could be your water pump is leaking?
