AUTO power window not working on driver's side

I tried resetting,

But that didn't help.
AUTO function still not working on driver's side, any ideas?

if the window goes up and down still then my guess swich is eather gone bad or gummed up

Is the switch expensive?

They're not too terribly hard to take apart and clean, if you have patience and don't wear boxing gloves.

I don't think its a switch because when I hold unlock button on remote, my passenger window goes down completely and driver's window goes only 3 inch down, any ideas?

Bump:(

Does it stop suddenly as if it thinks that's the bottom, or is it a gradual slowing down to stop condition?

Do you hear any sort of noise (either mechanical like it's hitting something, or electronic like a relay opening) when it stops?

If while the window is lowered as far as it will go, when you push the "down" switch again, does it ignore you as if the window was all the way down, or does the motor make a straining noise as if it was trying to bring it down a little further?

Wait...
I just re-read the original question.
Does the switch still work manually, just the "auto" function is busted?

That is among the first things I would check too, however I am thinking it's something electronic because he has the same issue when he uses the remote keyfob.

All and all it can only be a handful of things. The power windows are not that complex. It's either a switch or a regulator/ motor. Or a power ground issue. Maybe, the track?? Check everything.

Thanks, I decided that I will disconnect the switch and then try to lower the windows with keyfob. If my window will not go down AT ALL, then it will be switch for sure. If it will go down just like it did with switch connected, then I'll have to look for another solution.

I noticed that the switch inside was little dirty like someone worked on it, also one of the connectors to the switch (door locks) was kinda broken and had zip tide attached to it to keep it together.

You must be proud of me:)

sounds like the switch is sensing resistance and shutting off the motor. I have seen this before on other Nissan with auto up/down. I was able to relearn the closed/open position and it started to work again just like the auto sunroof switch on the 5.5gens. I forget the relearn procedure but it's definitely not what you have linked above. I didn't have to take anything apart to perform the relearn. The instructions might be in the owners manual.

I believe newer maximas have different relearn on windows. 5.5 is using the relearn procedure that I have posted. Never seen any other way.
