Ist Gen i30
Hey all,
I bought a 1997 Infiniti I30 about a year ago and I have been loving it ever since. It is a wonderful car and very fun to drive. I bought it as a commuter car for college and I have had no real issues with it.
I have only replaced:
Knock Sensor
Bose Head Unit (with another stock unit, I like the look and sound)
Front Door speakers (also stock, there were no problems with the old ones just wanted to do it because I found nicer condition ones for a few bucks)
Headlights
Air filter
Trans fluid
Oil of course
Had to replace the windshield (developed a huge crack)
The car has 171K miles and runs smooth. I love the look of the A32 Nissan/Infiniti sedans. I want to replace the tires soon but I am a bit low on cash. Overall this car is much better than I expected and I am really glad I chose to buy it. The community seems vibrant and willing to help.
The car is in good cosmetic shape as well, besides a paint scuff here and there it is straight. I want to fix the paint scuffs soon as well.
I plan to keep this car for a very long time. I would like to see if I can drive it to 1 million miles. The engine and car was well maintained before I received it. All the services done to it before I bought it were done by an Infiniti dealership.
Cheers

Glad to hear from a happy owner.
I don't know if you know this all ready, but you can get the Nissan Infiniti service manual on line at http://boredmder.com/FSMs/Infiniti/I30/
