Security light solid red car won't start
 

Please I'm hoping someone will be able to help me. I have an 02 i35 and my battery died and I didn't realize untill 3 days later so I guess it kicked it into some mode to where I needed to have my key reprogrammed so I did and its still not starting it cranking over like it wants to start but still won't. Please help. Thank you

If the red security light is on when the key is in the ignition switch, the NATS security system is activated. The keys have to be reprogrammed to the car to cure this.

While you say that you had this done, the reprogramming did not work. Did you do something and call it programming? You can't do it yourself unless you have bought a $1600 software package from Nissan, loaded it on your laptop and then connected the laptop to the car. If you paid someone to do it, they need to come back and do it again - the right way. If they did it correctly, the car should have started.

It is always possible that the antenna module or the control module (both in the steering column) could have gone bad.

You could have the car towed to the dealer and have them fix the problem. While the dealer is the most expensive option, if you have a bad part, they can figure it out and replace it. Most local locksmiths can reprogram keys as well and they make house calls. Less expensive than the dealer, they might not be able to figure out a defective part. Different locksmiths charge different prices, so get a quote for a couple of them.

Also, have all your keys available. They all have to be reprogrammed. If you need another key, this would be a good time to get one.
