Maxima's engine out so car for sale

I got a 2002 Nissan Maxima that the engine appereantly is gone. I have 150k miles on now looking to find ways to get rid of it. I owe about 7300 to the finance company so if anyone is interested in paying for it then the car is yours. I don't know exactly what is wrong with the engine. I turn it on and then it shuts off and steam comes out. My mechanic told me that to plainly get rid of it and get another one. If anyone is looking for a 5th generation, then you can fix it and the car is all yours. It's a 6spd black on grey maxima. I live in Los Angeles Ca (213) 864-0916. Im Victor.

It would help you if you posted pics and maybe a better description of the issue. What did the mechanic say exactly because if a mechanic told me that the engine is junk without a reason I will drop kick em.... Anyway post a better description.

At worste, sounds like a possible busted headgasket. Very fixable. So, unless you just want rid of it.....too bad I'm so far away.

if engine overheats even once, it's [got a good chance of being] done for. that's because its made out of Al-alloy.

They do have methods of measuring the amount of warpage (if any) on blocks/heads/other surfaces. This can also be fixed if minor and the repair allows the components to remain within spec.

that's not worth it

And why would any one go through all this trouble on a blown engine that has over 150K miles?? especially when you can get a new one for under 1k?
