97 Maxima SE 5spd- Supercharged
Getting rid of one of my babies.
1997 Nissan Maxima, Arctic White Pearl, 5 Speed, Black Leather interior, Bose Audio, 185K miles. VIN: JN1CA21D3VT824882 For its age, the car is in outstanding condition. There is the usual rock chips on the front bumper and one SMALL ding on the rear passenger door (only visible at an angle in direct light)... but that's it. Otherwise, the car is nearly flawless. The car is a labor of love, and heavily modified. Nothing about it is ricer or rigged, everything is top notch and tastefully done. This car is the ULTIMATE sleeper. It has embarrassed more than a few Mustang GT's and C5 Vettes. Last dyno was a bit under 300hp at the front wheels. All work was either done by myself or a well-known Maxima mechanic in North Carolina, so I'll be able to answer any questions you have. All maintenance has been done, either preventative or otherwise. The only possible mechanical issue is a slightly worn rear passenger brake line. Noticed it today when I bled the brake system with ATE Super Blue racing fluid. List of modifications: Performance: -Vortech V1 supercharger w/ mattys mounting plate (powdercoated gloss black) and 3.00" pully -Blitz Blow Off Valve -Custom intake piping with silicon joints -MEVI (Middle Eastern Variable Intake). Very rare, adds a LOT of power up top. Powdercoated wrinkle black. -Cartech Fuel Management Unit -Greddy eManage Blue engine management system -Fidanza lightweight flywheel -custom 6-puck carbon-ceramic clutch -Cattman Y-pipe -Cattman full Cat-back exhaust -Tokico Blue performance struts -Stillen front and rear strut towers -Eibach springs (lowered 1.00") -AEM UEGO Wideband Fuel/Air gauge and digital boost gauge, both mounted in 2-gauge A-pillar pod Cosmetic: -Clear diamond-cut corner lights -Momo carbon fiber shift knob and e-brake handle -custom Alcantara shift boot and e-brake boot -custom leather and Alcantara center console cover -custom hyper-white LED interior lights -6000K HID fog lights -custom iPod connection into factory Bose stereo -burled walnut trim kit -Nissan badge delete -custom Maxima battery tie-down The car is currently on the stock 16" 5-spoke wheels, with Michelin Exalta A/S tires (50%+ tread left). The car has a brand new starter, new timing chain cover gasket, and the Vortech supercharger was rebuilt by Vortech less than 500 miles ago (at a cost of $750). The clutch lines were also replaced about 500 miles ago. It has a fresh oil change and brake flush, but it coming up on a coolant flush. The only thing not original on the exterior is the emblems and silver trim pieces. The car originally came with the dealer gold trim option, and I changed it back to silver (front emblem, rear "Maxima", and antenna ring) a few years ago. |
by alpine white do you mean full paintjob with bmw color code?

I have an M5 and got the color codes mixed up in my head. Arctic / Alpine.... Again, the paint is totally factory stock. It has been treated extremely well. I use Optimum Opti-Seal (and have for years) topped with wax (usually NXT or Pinnacle). |
I would NOT sell that. I was drooling over the NSX but that sleeper is a keeper.

A 600 hp debadged bimmer is the ULTIMATE sleeper, IMO. Whoever ends up with the Maxima is a lucky person. It has served me well for a long time, and I've been pretty maniacal with her upkeep. There are very few Maximas on the road with original paint that are this clean. |
 I'm saving for one. Your maxima is very nice. Clean and tastefully modded. Feel free to send me pics of the M5. :)
|
OP, I'll trade you....LOL.
Never got to see the car, seen and rode in the NSX though |

Wow this car is extremely clean and worth every penny. The fact that its a southern car with no rust makes it extremely desirable as I'm sure the underbody is hardly rusting.
GLWS man! |

So she would still make a good daily driver?

Like with all modified cars (especially ones with higher mileage), if she is daily driven, be prepared for the occasional mechanical gremlin to pop up. I see a couple of (easily fixable) SES lights a year. I had originally planned to buy a used VQ30, build it, and swap it out for the one in this car. The engine is still is good shape, but a leakdown and compression test probably wouldn't be a bad idea. |
Oh my gawsh. That interior is perfect, if I had a credit I would get a loan fir this thing today. I hope it finds a good home
|
Yea I think those grimlins are prone to these cars lol but I still like them.
Let me see how bad I get screwed on the settlment on mine there may be a road trip in the near future |
Very nice ride. glwts
