It saddens me to do this, but it's time to say goodbye :bawling:

Up for sale is a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE 5-speed manual transmission in Nissan's Hyper Black (KH3) with Frost (Grey) cloth interior. Located in Raleigh, NC. Just under 265K miles. For almost being old enough to vote, the paint is in great shape with zero clear coat fading or peeling. Since it is black, every imperfection shows, so the paint is not perfect, but it cleans up well. I have washed and waxed it regularly since having it. The interior is in great condition with no tears in any of the upholstery or cracks in the dash.

I have driven this car for 10+ years as my daily driver and it hurts to list it for sale, but there are just too many cars in the driveway right now. The oil and filter have been changed religiously every 3,500-4,000 miles and it has only been fed with 93 premium octane. It received a clean bill of health from Blackstone labs from earlier this year. The 222HP VQ30DE-K V6 engine pulls strong and the clutch still has plenty of bite with no signs of slipping. The OEM clutch and throwout bearing were replaced at the 200K mark with the flywheel being resurfaced. A fresh set of tires with plenty of tread were mounted earlier this year and have lots of life left. Other things recently replaced include the belts, alternator, brake pads, and high pressure power steering hose. The OEM wheels have been painted matte black (not plasti-dip!) and cleared for a matte finish. The heat blows hot and the A/C is cold. The power windows still work even though the passenger side window switch works intermittently. It doesn't bother me since the driver's side switch functions as it should. There are only a few modifications including installation of Nissan's sport pedals with the 350Z "dead pedal," Stillen venturi ring and K&N air filter have been cleaned and oiled, JDM-style yellow 3000K fog lights with the Lexus capsule retrofit, cross-drilled Brembo rotors, LED interior lighting, and the TB coolant bypass has been implemented.

Obviously, with a car of this age, it does have some issues. There are a few minor dings from lovely people in parking lots that park too close. Full disclosure - the SES light is on and is showing the dreaded P1320. The light comes on and off, but currently it is on. As you know, this is a common issue with the 5th gens likely related to the ignition coils. I have replaced them over the years with OEM, but this code likes to appear randomly. While driving, you don't feel it noticeably misfire so the coil has not failed enough for the ECU to determine which cylinder is misfiring. It also has a small oil leak which seems like it is coming from the oil pan gasket. I just don't have the time to take care of it.

Asking $1,200 OBO. Maxima.org has given me so much over the years with guidance and helpful threads, I would like to see it go to a member who will appreciate it, or worst case, use it as a parts car even though it still runs great.
