1992 maxima SE automatic,(SOLD 4-23)
This car was sold on 4-23-19
I added a price $1,500 obo I added some pictures below in replys, some are old(5/1/2018)from when i bought it In Seattle WA and I have the title in my name.this is not a rusty car topside or underneath,no bad sun damage either. A 1992 nissan maxima SE,its an automatic with VE ,pebble biege exterior(gold/tan) clothe interior ( very light color, yellow?lemon meringue? ) Great car ive owned since last year, needs license tabs in may so im selling it, i really dont drive much anymore besides runnin my mom around Today it has 99,462 miles, its over 25 years old so emmision test are not needed anymore, its age exempt now ( in WA state) This car has the higher output VE30DE engine(only exists in the 92-94 maxima SE. Sport model)which uses a timing chain,6 direct ignition coils,4 valves per cylinder(24),dual overhead cams(4),limited slip differential, anti lock brakes, heated side mirrors The air conditioner and heater work, all power windows and locks work, sunroof,CD player with USB + AUX inputs on the faceplate, removable subwoofer with medium bass, cone air filter, very clean interior, great matching hankook tires, very clean interior. The VTC are on a grounding switch mounted in the left coin holder on the center console seems to be a common annoyance and fix from all my years of reading (on a switch because i always cycle them on everytime i drive it until or unless they get noisy which they dont always do, moving the switch always quiets them) The sparkplugs, pcv, air and fuel filter are all new last year, brakes okay, all 3 pulley drive belts are new The ve30 has a timing chain-so no worries about timing belts and the (92-94) with the VE uses a different \ likely more robust automatic than earlier years A previous owner had some body damages (im adding pictures tonite or tomorrow) Drivers front corner had a small impact but still deployed the single airbag so it was removed and the horn pad glue back together and so the front bumper cover has a split on the corner thats wire tied, also wire tied where it meets the drivers fender, the drivers fender was resprayed by a previous owner so the car IS all one color but not perfect match the very corner-est part of the hood has a wrinkle but its not visible since i put a bug guard on, rear bumper has small bits of paint chiping rear passenger wheel well lip has a scrape-dent,drivers quarter panel has a dent repair, door locks sometimes "fight" the key but always still open but the power locks always respond correctlly, power antenna bad but i freed it so it can be pulled up/pushed down by hand like a commoner would be seen doing I had the chance to buy the pebble biege front bumper cover, steering wheel pad w/airbag,airbag control and impact sensor at the local pull yourself junkyards but couldnt invest more money (@ a hundred buck$)at the time, darn Its a kinda rare, low mileage nice running driving car actually made in japan and shipped. Please help me update my ad on here with an asking price since there are no other 92-94 maxima SE for sale i can find People are welcome to ask any questions and or suggest a price even if they arent looking to buy it, help me decide what to ask EDIT $1,500 obo.EDIT sold on 4-23-19 Its a kinda rare, low mileage nice running driving car actually made in japan and shipped. This is not an expensive car,its old and not well known and has some flaws,The body damage,no more airbag and a few other minor things will equal a discount Anyone interested should look and test then make an offer,Mostly Cash although part trades might be accepted(electronics, guy stuff) ,Thanks for looking edit-I forgot to mention that the knock sensor is plugged in as normal and is not an issue and now the mileage is 99,510 edit- $1,500 obo EDIT sold on 4-23-19 |

My dad's first Max was a silver 1992 Maxima GXE he bought new in Oct of 1991. Hard to believe it "only" had 160hp compared to the 2017 White SV I just bought last Friday. Still, the 92 Max was a great car. Does your have the automatic seatbelts? I remember when that was a thing briefly in the US. The Maximas made for the Canadian market were spared that, fortunately, but I do remember getting in the odd rental car when down in the US and always found it a little alarming. He got rid of the 1992 for a 1994 Polaris Blue GXE with the sunroof which he lacked on the 92.

Looks like I answered my own question - I can see the autobelts in the picture above.
